Welcome to WORLDSKILLS ABU DHABI 2017
(14-19 October 2017)

Three years ago, it was announced that Abu Dhabi would become the first Arab country to host a WorldSkills Competition. WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 will be a celebration of excellence and a unique opportunity to share knowledge.

Young people from  76 member countries and regions will come to Abu Dhabi to compete in around 50 skill competitions, hoping to take home gold, silver, or bronze or even the coveted Albert Vidal Award, which is given to the Competitor with the highest overall points.

The young people who will compete in WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017 are already “the best of the best.” They have already proved their exceptional talents in their countries.

The growing number of WorldSkills Members demonstrates that traditional trades together with technology-based multi-skilled vocations are crucial to a thriving global economy and the social and economic well-being of people everywhere.

Who will be the skills Medallists of WorldSkills Abu Dhabi 2017? The Closing Ceremony will reveal the winners. The Closing Ceremony is also a time to celebrate and to say farewell to old and new friends of the 44th WorldSkills Competition, while looking forward to Russia and WorldSkills Kazan 2019.
