Задание С3 There are several polluting activities which directly or indirectly in one way or another pollute our mother Earth and damage the air we breathe, water we drink and land we walk on. If garbage, waste and refuse of houses, offices, industries and farming lands is not disposed of properly it litters our soil and people may suffer from various diseases like cholera, gastro, infections, allergies and so on. If waste water coming from homes, industries and factories is not treated to neutralize its harmful effects and let to flow into water bodies including rivers, seas, lakes or water canals it adds water pollution and ultimately hits the water features of land. If we consume polluted water we may suffer from various diseases of serious nature like gastro, joint aches, kidney problems and liver diseases. Smoke emissions from vehicles and factories add to air pollution and ultimately mar the beauty of the air of our mother Earth. Therefore, smoke emitting setups of our vehicles and factories must be scientifically developed to let the lesser emissions.

Задание С3 Some hundreds of years ago people lived in harmony with nature, because industry was not much developed. Today, however, the contradictions between man and nature are dramatic. The twenty first century is a century of the scientific and technological progress. The achievements of the mankind in mechanization and automation of industrial processes, in chemical industry and conquering outer space, in the creation of atomic power stations and ships are amazing. But at the same time, this progress gave birth to a very serious problem – the problem of environment. Ecology and the contamination of environment, is concerned with climate, over-population in certain areas, deaths of plants and animals, chemical contamination of seas, lakes and rivers as well as atomic experiments and dumping of atomic waste from power stations. Floods, unexpected draughts, and the greenhouse effect are the next reasons. There are many consequences of damaging the environment. One of them is acid rain. Another one is water shortage resulting from the abuse of arable lands in agriculture. The third one is the destruction of the Earth ozone layer through factories and plants pollution. The fourth problem is the damage of water and soils. The fifth one is the damage to wildlife: numerous species of animals and plants can disappear. And the last, the most serious danger arising from damaging the environment is the result of the above mentioned consequences. This is the danger to the man’s life and health.

In conclusion I`d like to say that the relations between Russia and U.S.A. unfortunately has become worse. As I mentioned earlier, the US claims that they are the most democratic country in the world, but we saw that it is wrong. U.S. tries to bring “democracy” in every country, but it is a big difference between American democracy and real democracy. I`d like to quote J.Stalin who claimed: “I always thought that democracy is government of the people, but comrade Roosevelt intelligibly explained that democracy is the power of the American people” Conclusion
