Our class trip to Nizhny Novgorod Last year our platoon went to an entertainment tour to Nizhny Novgorod . We knew that Nizhniy Novgorod has many places of interest and museums and we wanted to visit some of them . So , in April we went to this city .

Two Great Russian rivers In Nizhny Novgorod , there are two rivers - the Volga and the Oka . We were lucky enough to see the place where the rivers meet . The Volga River is one of the largest rivers in Russia . Its length is 3530 km . On this landscape it can be seen that the water of the rivers has different colours .

There are different sights in Nizhniy Novgorod : The Nizhniy Novgorod Kremlin The monument to Valery Chkalov The monument to Minin and Pozharsky The Blagoveshensky Monastery The Alley Of Glory

Monument to Valery Chkalov Valery Chkalov (1904 - 1938) was a famous pilot who made the first non-stop flight from Moscow to Vancouver ( t he USA). He was born in the Nizhniy Novgorod Region and is respected by its citizens .

Chkalov stairs This is a very big stairs from the Chkalov monument to the Volga bank . The number of steps is 560!

Quarki We also visited the Museum Quarki . It is a Physics museum , where we did different experiments . We liked that we could touch and try on everything . Our excursion to this museum was very entertaining .

Our impressions We got a lot of fun from this trip and learnt much interesting and new . We enjoyed our entertaining excursion !
