My native town

HI, everybody. My name is Nastya . And I want to tell you about my small but very cute town , Nizhnekamsk. The population of the town is 240 thousand people. Nizhnekamsk was built in 1961, as you can see it is quite young.

The city is also the largest centre of the petrochemical industry in Russia. Therefore we have many factories, but in addition there are a lot of green areas, parks and squares.

Very often in parks you can find fountains , playgrounds, trampolines and benches.

And I would like to tell you more about the benches. On Solnechnaya Polyana there is a bench of smiling Clown. When visitors sit on this bench, the clown seems to embrace the visitors of the park and charge them with energy and good mood. They say if you rub clown’s nose, you will get good luck.

The next interesting bench is in Mira Street and name of the street corresponds to the name of the bench – “Reconciliation”. The couple, who is in a quarrel, can sit, roll to centre and make up. This is its secret.

Another beautiful bench is near Wedding Palace and called ‘’Love’’. All newlyweds on their wedding day like to sit on it and take a picture.

Next to the Wedding Palace we have ‘’Tukai park’’ and there are a lot of different beautiful benches such as ‘’Sunflower bench’’ or ‘ ’Sculpture benches’’ based on Gabdula Tukai, the Tatar favourite and popular writer of poems, fairy tails. Sunflower bench Sculpture bench

Also I want to present you the main city library which is near the Tukai park and named after Tukai too. The library hosts a lot of events, has a large selection of books, create cozy atmosphere and much more. If you have time, I would definitely advise you to take a book.

These are two my favourite benches. The long one is in Mira street and the unusual is on Solhechnaya Polyana . They are very comfortable and wonderful places to spend time with friends.

The most important bench for all citizens is in ‘’ Family Park’’, it depicts a sculpture of a father, a mother, a boy and a girl, the usual happy family. As for each of us the family stands on the first place and means a lot in our lives. To sum up. Nizhnekamsk is very great and wonderful place to visit and to live. Come and see.
