I want to tell you about my favorite holiday. It is New Year’s Day.  I always celebrate it with my family and now I want to tell you about our last New Year’s Day.

It was one of my favorite New Year’s Days. It began to snow at about 8 p.m. The snow was white and crispy. My friend Sasha and I were walking and setting off firecrackers at that time. It was so great! There was a light frost. I was cold and went home.

When I came home my mother was cooking some tasty dishes for our New Year’s feast. I went into my room and admired a Christmas tree.

At last it was a quarter to 12 p.m.  My father and I were preparing to let off the fireworks. My granny and my mother were setting the table. Soon we sat at the table, celebrated each other with a New Year and enjoyed delicious food. And after that we went to the street and began to look at different fireworks.

Then we returned home. I entered my room and saw a lot of gifts under a Christmas tree. I was so happy! I couldn’t believe my eyes!  The Father Frost brought me a new mobile phone! Of course, I got other good gifts, but the mobile phone was my dream for a long time. It was the best gift for me! That’s why I think it was the best New Year’s Day in my life!
