My hero.

Patriotism  is love for your family, your homeland, your country! I think, every Russian person is a patriot. Everyone is always ready to stand up to defend the Motherland from enemies. On May 9, people gather to honor the memory of those who died in that war. This year, Russian people have celebrated the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Evryone remembers those terrible days of 1941st year.

Yes, we are successful in the fight
But do not want to see again
The soldiers who fell down due combats
Forever got embraced with bitter land
Just shall you ask all mothers’ mind
At least just ask the soldier’s wife
This way you should forever understand

Russia knows its heroes! I Know my hero! This is my great - grandfather.

Snegirev Alexander Ignatievich was born in 1919 in a small village of Armizonsky district not far from Tyuman. He worked at school as a technology teacher. In 1939 he was called up for military service.

The war began. My great-grandfather,  taught young guys to operate in combat conditions in the Sverdlovsk Academic Department. He taught them to shoot, to defend themselves from attacks. Then, all togather, they went to the front lines.

My great - grandfather fought in Ukrain. He was wounded twice. He returned from the front as a desabled person but he taught schoolchildren for many years. He was awarded the order of the Red Star and the medals for military merit.

My great - grandfather died. The time and the wound played their fateful role. But the old photos in the  album and stories of my grandfather keep memories of my hero.

I’m proud of my great - grandfather. I respect him and I’m grateful for what he did for my country and for my wonderful future..
