Newt Newts share many of the characteristics of their salamander kin, including semipermeable glandular skin, four equal-sized limbs, and a distinct tail.
NEWT Many newts produce TOXINS in their skin secretions as a defence mechanism against predators.
NEWT The main breeding season for newts is June and July.
