Методическая разработка занятия

«What Films Do You Like Best?»

Общая тема или название раздела: Что помогает вам  получать удовольствие?

Тема занятия: Какие фильмы вы любите? (What Films Do You Like Best?)

Вид занятия: (тип урока) урок креативного типа.

Цели занятия:

обучающая  формировать лексические и грамматические навыки чтения и говорения;

                      развивать умение читать с извлечением конкретной информации, умение

                      догадываться о значении слов по контексту;

                      познакомить обучающихся с наречиями меры и степени с прилагательными;

развивающая  развивать способность к догадке, качества ума: гибкость и логичность,

                        коммуникабельность, способность осуществлять репродуктивные и продуктивные

                        речевые действия;

воспитательная  воспитывать толерантное отношение к людям, умение работать в группе.

Дидактические материалы для других видов опроса: карточки для фонетической зарядки,

Проведение занятия

1. Организационный момент  

1. Приветствие группы, проверка посещаемости обучающихся, дата, день недели,

    сообщение темы и целей занятия:    

T.: Good afternoon students. I’m glad to see you again.

      a) What day of the week is it today? – It is … .

      b) What date is it today? – It is … .

      c) Who is absent today? – … is (are) absent today.

      The topic of our today’s lesson is «What Films Do You Like Best?»

      You will develop your speaking skills; practice reading and listening for the main idea;  

      express your opinions and learn some grammar material «Adjective Modifiers».

2. Фонетическая зарядка:

T.: At first I want you to do some phonetic drills. Listen to me and repeat after me:

[t] – cartoon, extremely, pretty, totally, absolutely

[d] – comedy, adventure

[r] – documentary, horror, romantic story, melodrama, really, very, boring, really

[O] – thriller

[w] – western, war, war film, wonderful, really wonderful

T.: Now let’s play the game «Snowball». Make my sentence longer:

      A lot of people like comedies.

2. Проверка устного домашнего задания  

T.: Let’s check your home task. Your home task was the ex.4 part 2 p.345. You’ve read and

      translated the text about the history of Russian cinematography. We’re going to check your

      reading comprehension of the text. Answer the questions:

1. When and where did the spreading of cinematography in Russia start?
2. Who founded the first film studios?
3. Who were the stars of silent films in the ’20s?
4. What were the most popular genres of Russian films?
5. Where and when did the first sound film appear?
6. What started its work in October 1929?
7. Who is one of the most famous directors, the creator of fairy tales?
8. What is R.Bykov famous for? Can you name his films?
9. Whose names are known all over the world as creators of unforgettable, realistic pieces of art?

3. Повторение пройденного материала

 T.: At our previous lesson we have known some genres of films and I want you to revise them

       now. Match the short description of the film with its genre:

1. It is a film that tries to make the audience laugh. (a comedy)

2. It is a short humorous film in which the characters are drawn. (a cartoon)

3. It is a film that deals with real people and events. (a documentary)

4. It is a film about an exciting, unusual, and sometimes dangerous experience. (an adventure

    film)

5. It is a film that tries to make the audience very scared. (a horror film)

6. It is a film with an exciting story that often involves a crime. (a thriller)

7. It is a film that is stuffed with fights of different types. (an action film).

8. It is a film in which the characters behave in an extreme emotional way, with the bad

    characters being very bad, the good characters being very good etc. (a melodrama)

9. It is a film in which there are a lot of songs. (a musical film)

10. It is a film about the western United States in the 1800s, usually with cowboys. (a western)

11. It is a film which is based on people or events that existed in the past. (a historical film)

12. It is a film in which a detective tries to solve a crime. (a detective story)

4. Сообщение новых знаний

1. Совершенствование навыков говорения:

a) T.: Film making industry developed rapidly and the number of genres of films grew constantly.

      Let’s fill in this diagram. What is associated with these genres?

б) T.: Now, you’ll watch 3 films of different genres. Your task is to guess what genre  it is.

    S-1.: The first film is ... .

в) T.: What is your favourite genre of the film?

    S-1.: My favourite genre of the film is … .

2. Практика чтения с целью извлечения конкретной информации: 

T.: Each person has a preference for this or that type of films. Ex.2 part1 p.188-189. Let’s read

      and say what types of  films these people talk about.

S-1.: The first dialogue is about … .

T.: What do the highlighted words mean?

      Will you open your vocabularies and write down these words:

      suspense [s  spens] – напряжение

      plot [pl  t] – сюжет

      stuffed [st  ft] – наполненный

T.: Now, let’s read and translate these dialogues in pairs.

3. Формирование грамматических навыков употребления наречий меры и степени с

                прилагательными):

а) презентация материала: упр.2.1 с.188-189:

T.: Which film got the highest evaluation? How did you guess?

S.: The thriller / horror film got the highest evaluation because such phrases as «extremely good»,

      «a really good» are used.

б) обобщение по презентации (конспект).

в) тренировка грамматического материала: работа по карточкам:

T.: What do you think about films of different genres? Make up sentences according to the model:

Model: Historical films are fairly good.

5. Закрепление материала

T.: We often discuss films we’ve seen with our friends. Ex.3 part3 p.190. Prepare in groups a

      short description of your favourite genre without naming it. Let your classmates guess the  

      genre. Use the table on p.191.

6. Самостоятельная работа обучающихся на разных этапах занятия:
