Цели урока:

- познавательный аспект:  увеличение объема знаний о защите окружающей         среды, знакомство с редкими видами животных и птиц, обсуждение причин  их исчезновения  и способов защиты животных;

- развивающий аспект: развитие творческих способностей учащихся, способности логически излагать, сопоставлять и сравнивать полученные данные;

- воспитательный аспект: воспитание культуры работы в группах, осознание причин исчезновения некоторых видов животных и птиц, воспитание бережного отношения к ним;

- учебный аспект: развитие речевых умений и навыков по учебной теме “Animals in our life”.

Задачи урока:

- совершенствование речевых умений и навыков по теме;

- совершенствование умений аудирования с целью извлечения необходимой информации;

- обобщение и систематизация полученных знаний по теме «Animals in our life»

Оборудование: компьютер, мультимедийная установка, магнитофон.

  1. Начало. (звучит музыка, показывается презентация)
  2. Индуктор. Стихотворение «Земля нуждается в друге».

М.Г. The world needs a friend

         To love and depend on

         In times of trouble…

        The world has hope yet

        If the children let it

        And if we do it right

       Together we can make the world

       Because the world’s best friend is you!

  1. Введение в сюжет урока.

А.М. What are we going to speak about today? Have you guessed, children?

              P1,2,3… Yes, of course; sure, certainly.

A.M. You are quite right. Are you real friends of nature. Do you lire the Earth?

             P1,2,3… of course, sure.

A.M. Let’s see.   In what situations people harm nature. Why does it happen? I think during our lesson we’ll find out this question. Do you know our Earth well? Are you real friends?

Лера: Certainly! We started learning the environmental problems two years ago.

Вика: By the way, when we studied in the sixth form we explored the problems connected with our smaller friends – animals.

A.M. And what have you learned? Can you share your knowledge?

Ксения: HM… We have learned a lot of information, facts, we have read many impressive stories and articles about animals.

Гоша: Remember? We have solved some animals’ problems making posters, creating homes, restaurants, hotels for them.

A.M. How interesting!  Can you tell us about it?

4. Вика: Yes, we can. But we would like to see how much you know about animals.

5. Настя: We have created two posters warning people about environmental problems.

 1 группа ( не вырубайте леса!)

Юля: All over the world the forests are disappearing. People cut down trees because they need wood and paper or new places for farms and houses.

Вика: Forests size of Belgium are destroyed every year. More over, people pollute forests with a lot of litter. It’s an international disaster. That’s why this problem  is very important for us.

2 группа (позвольте животным жить на воле!)

Ксения: Every human being has his or her own home and family.

Лера:  We are sure animals have the right to live in their natural homes, because east or west home is best!

A.M. So impressed! But what should we do to help animals? Let’s divide into two groups to do it.

6. М.Г. Who wants to solve the problem of cutting down  forests, please, join this group. And who thinks that animals should live in the wild join that group, please.

 Дети расходятся по группам. Им необходимо предложить пути решения выбранных проблем. (работа в группах- 10 минут).

7. А.М.Well, you are so exiting discussing your problems. It’s very obvious that you love our planet and those who live on it. We think you have the solution. Your group, please.

A.M. Do you have any questions?

Лера:  What do you do to help forests?

Представители первой группы отвечают по очереди.

2 группа (позвольте животным жить на воле).

8. Аня: But some animals can’t lie in the wild. We should help such animals and keep them in the zoo. I love animals very much and I’m dreaming of having my own zoo.

Аня: Can you guess what animals I would like to have in my zoo? Now we want to learn if you know animals well. We have surprise for you!

Шестиклассники загадывают восьмиклассникам загадки о животных.

9. М.Г. How pleasant to realize that you take care of the Earth. She is very happy to feel it! And this day has become a great holiday to her. Let’s say best wishes to our planet. Think it over in one minute and write them down.

10. A.M. WWF invites you to take part in the local competition for the best wild animals’ park in Siberia. You have a great chance to protect the nature. The best projects will be invested by the fund.

М.Г. Our forests and fields are  also full of useful and graceful insects and animals.

A.M. But unfortunately they have become rare and vanish. Let’s help them!

10 класс

Цели урока:

- познавательный аспект:  увеличение объема знаний по теме,

Оборудование:  компьютер, аудиодиск с записью треков для аудирования, дидактический материал (серия фотографий и картинок).

  1. Организационный момент.

T: Hello, everybody! Glad to see you. I hope you’re OK and ready to start.

T: Today we shall discuss what makes a family happy. You’re working in groups of five. I hope it’ll be interesting for you to share your ideas, thoughts and at the end of our lesson you’ll be able to say: What makes a family happy?

T: Look at the pictures on your desks. Discuss what you see there. Do the people look happy, bored or sad? Why do you think it’s so?

  1. Начало урока. Приветствие, постановка цели урока.

T: Good morning, dear children. I’m very glad to see you at our lesson. Today we’re going to discuss the problem of animals’ protection.

  1. Речевая подготовка.

T: You know that people all over the world are worried about our smallest brothers. The issue of animals’ protection is very important. Every year the number of animals is getting less and less. What are the causes of it?

P1: The water and air are polluted.

P2: Fires are started.

P3: People kill animals.

P4: Trees are cut down.

P5: People use animals as food.

T: You are right. All those problems are very global. That’s why the members of three zoological societies have come here today to discuss them. Now it’s time to introduce yourselves and your projects.

Group 1

Kirill: Good morning, dear guests. I’m Kirill, the director of the zoological society “International Association of Saving Endangered Animals” (IASEA). Our society consists of four people. It’s Nastya, our manager.

Nastya: Nice to meet you. I’m Nastya, the manager of “IASEA”. I’m responsible for financial documents. I love animals and believe they need our help.

Dasha: Good day. I’m Dasha, the vet. My duty is to treat animals when they are ill.

Vadim: I’m Vadim, the correspondent of “IASEA”. I write articles for some magazines. The most interesting are about endangered animals.

Kirill: Our motto is “Let’s save our smallest brothers together”. The members of our society should follow some rules. Here they are.

  1. we should clean animals’ cages;
  2. we should take care of animals;
  3. we should feed animals properly;
  4. we should protect animals against cruelty

Nastya: We love all kinds of animals but we pay more attention to pets’ protection.

Dasha: Very often pets suffer from people’s cruelty. We think only kind people should have pets, because cruel people make pets cruel too.

Vadim: How can people hurt pets? They are so funny!

Kirill: “IASEA” presents a film “What funny pets!”

             The sky is blue. The grass is green. Two little rabbits are playing in the grass. Suddenly they see a monkey swinging in the rope.

 Dasha:  The rabbits are watching it. They are afraid of this black monkey.

Nastya: Look! Little kittens are playing with a huge sleeping dog! They are very brave! The old brown cat is watching them.

Vadim: Thank you for attention. Now we’re ready to answer your questions.

Group2: How do you take care of your pets?

Dasha: I have a cat. I love him very much. I play with him, feed regularly and talk with him.

Group3: Why do you think only kind people should have pets?

Nastya: Because cruel people hurt pets very often. They punish pets and don’t take care of them.

Sveta: Hello, Dasha!  We haven’t seen you for two months. Where have you been?

Dasha: I’ve just returned from my expedition to South America.

Tanya: What did you do there?

Dasha: I learned Flora & Fauna of this beautiful country. It was so interesting!

Kristine: What’s this?

Dasha: Oh, it’s my surprise for you! Do you know that the smallest bird in the world lives in South America? It’s collibri. Dear guests! We’re glad to see you at the presentation of our zoological society “Society of Saving Endangered Animals (SSEA). I’m Dasha, the Director.

Sveta: My   name’s Sveta, the PR manager. I’m responsible for financial & PR questions.

Tanya: I’m Tanya. I’m the correspondent of our society. I love animals and try to help them. I write articles about endangered animals and birds.

Kristine: I’m a vet. My name is Kristine. My duty is treating animals.

Group 2: Our motto is “We save endangered animals. It’s our duty!”

Dasha: We are very friendly and responsible. Our members do all their best to protect animals against cruelty. We should follow these rules:

Tanya: Plant trees, and flowers.

Dasha: Clean animals’ cages.

Sveta: Help endangered animals.

Kristine: Give special food to baby animals.

Tanya: Don’t forget to feed animals.

Dasha: Don’t smoke in the zoo.

Sveta: Don’t open doors in the cages.

Dasha: We love all kinds of animals, but we pay more attention to the endangered birds: Kiwi, White owl, Collibri. Our film is about Collibri.

Tanya: Collibri is the smallest bird in our planet. It lives in the warmest parts of South America. It weighs about two grams

Sveta: As a rule, collibri has bright colored feathers. This bird can fly in any direction. It drinks flowers’ nectar and catches insects.

Dasha: Our presentation is over. We’re ready to answer your questions.

Kristine: There are 2 thousand kinds of birds all over the world.

Group 3: How do you take care of birds?

Dasha: We make birds’ houses, plant trees and flowers and feed them in winter.

John: Good day, dear guests. I’m Sklyanov John, the director of “Protection Service”. It’s Stas, he is a businessman. It’s Gleb, he is our vet. It’s Leo, the manager.

Stas: I work here because I have enough money to help animals. I give some money to buy special animals’ food and medicine for treating them.

Gleb: I joined our society because I love animals and treat them.

Group: Our motto is “We live for animals”.

Leo: the members of our society should follow some rules. Here they are.

Stas: We should sometimes put animals out of their cages.

John: We should take care of baby animals.

Gleb: We should give special food to animals.

Stas: We should not give danger food to animals

John: Our favorite animals are wild cats. Recently we’ve made a film about them.

Leo: the members of our society should follow some rules. Here they are.

John: We should take care of baby animals.

Leo: They are graceful, vigorous and beautiful animals. They are tigers, lions, leopards and pumas. Cats are very kind.

Stas: They like meat and fish. Wild cats are super hunters. They hunt at night. Cats can see in darkness very well.

John: Now we can answer some of your questions.

Group 1: Where do you think animals have a better place to live?

Gleb: We think it's better for animals to live in wild animals' parks, because there's much space for them.

Teacher: Thank you very much. All your presentations are interesting and useful. In some minutes our experts will be ready to appreciate them. While they are discussing your presentations I would like to know if you have your own pets.

PI: Yes, I have a cat.

P2: As for me, I have a funny dog.

P3: A couple of parrots live in my family.

Teacher: How do you take care of them?

PI: My dog is very sociable. That's why I talk with it.

P2: My cat likes to play with me. I usually do it after school and at the

weekends.

P3: As for me, I buy special food to my parrots.

P4: When my pet is ill, I take him to the vet.

P5: I take my dog Patch for a walk.

Teacher: I see our experts are ready. Let's listen to them.

Teacher:   We've already spoken about the importance of animals' protection. Animals are getting less and less. But there is always hope. At home you should do the preparations for the posters telling people about animals' protection problems. Now you have some minutes to create them.

На дом ребята получили домашнее задание сделать заготовки поустеров.

В течение нескольких минут учащиеся заканчивают работу над плакатами

и представляют их.

Groupl: People! Plant trees and flowers! Animals need shelter!

Group2: People! Feed birds and help them!

В заключение урока звучит песня «Moo moo, brown cow».
