Тема урока: “A trip to America”

 
Задачи урока:

- Контроль усвоения изученной лексики;

- Тренировка речемыслительных навыков;

- Развитие навыков диалогической речи;

Цели урока:

 
обучающие:

- повторение и закрепление нового лексического и грамматического

материала по теме “Welcome to America”;

- приобретение практических навыков при работе с диалогами и монологами;

- приобретение практических навыков поведения в конкретных речевых ситуациях.

развивающие:

- развитие навыков  диалогической речи с употреблением лексики по теме “ Welcome to America ”;

- развитие интереса у учащихся к общению на  английском языке;

- развитие творческих способностей и фантазии у учащихся;

воспитательные:

- воспитание культуры общения на английском языке;

- воспитание чувства коллективизма;

практические:

- общение и выражение своих мыслей на изучаемом иностранном языке. Тренировка всех видов речевой деятельности: аудирования, чтения. говорения, письма.

учебник, индивидуальные карточки и раздаточный материал, наглядные пособия, представленные с помощью современных информационных технологий – компьютера.

Ход урока:

І. Good morning boys and girls! I am glad to see you.

- Who is on duty today?

- Who is absent today?

- What date is it today?

- What day of the week is it today?

The theme of our lesson today  is “A trip to the USA”

- Do you like to travel?

- What English speaking countries do you know?

- What English speaking country would you like to visit?

ІІ. First of all let’s train our tongues. Here you can see a tongue twister.

Father, mother, sister, brother

Hands in hands with one another

Repeat after me this tongue twister all together.

ІІІ. Oh, you know, today I have got a parcel. What a strange box! What is there inside? Let’s see… . Very  interesting. Let’s listen to it.

VII. Thank you very much. So, it is time to make our luggage and prepare for the trip to the United States. What things will we take if we go to America? As for me, if I go to America I’ll take a camera and a suit case with me, but I will not take a bicycle.

VIII. Writing practice

So we are ready to fly to Washington. Close your eyes and say: one, two, three – we  fly to Washington.

When we are in Washington we need to fill in the arrival record. Open your books on the page 59 and do exercise 1 in the written form. As for me, I’ll give you sheets of paper where you will write. You have 2 minutes to fill in the blanks. Write, please.

IX. Conversation practice.

Цели мероприятия:

• систематизация и контроль изученного материала;
• развитие навыков диалогической и монологической речи;
• развитие навыков письма;
• совершенствование грамматических навыков: построение предложений в английском языке, употребление артикля а/аn;
• воспитание толерантного отношения к одноклассникам в соревновательных условиях.

Оборудование:

• классная доска
• карточки-схемы построения диалогов
• карточки-артикли а/аn
• карточки – слова (с лексическими единицами на русском языке и на английском языке для составления предложений)
• картинка для описания

1. Начало мероприятия.

1. Приветствие. Речевая зарядка.

- Good morning. Take your places, please.

I’m really fine today. And how are you?

2. Сообщение темы и целей мероприятия.

- Сегодня у нас необычный урок. Мы вспомним все, что изучили за 3 месяца и, конечно, проверим, насколько хорошо у нас это получилось. Урок пройдет в занимательной форме в виде соревнования, и поэтому он называется “Funny English”.

2. Основная часть.

1. Организационный момент.

- Вы уже разделены на две команды и занимаете места за двумя большими столами. Выберите сейчас названия и капитанов для своих команд.

У вас впереди 5 конкурсов. Правильность и быстроту ваших ответов будут оценивать члены нашего жюри (пригашенные учителя). Представление членов жюри. В конце занятия каждый из вас получит индивидуальные оценки.

2. Конкурс 1 - «Приветствие».

- Итак, начнем. При встрече люди приветствуют друг друга, интересуются, как их дела. И мы – не исключение. Перед вами на столах лежат схемы диалогов, которые вы должны будете представить через 2 минуты.

3. Конкурс 2 – «Разминка».

- Для того, чтобы люди из разных стран могли общаться с помощью писем или интернета, им необходимо уметь писать слова правильно. Мы уже изучили достаточно слов для проведения следующего конкурса. Каждый член команды подходит к столу и выбирает карточку с русским словом. Его задача – правильно написать на доске это слово на английском языке. Одно правильно написанное слово принесет команде один балл.

Автобус, крючок, овца, скамейка, лес, муравей, лошадь, игра, коробка, мельница, Лиса, звезда, молоко, кружка, палатка, кровать, шахматы, пруд, королева, журавль, озеро, паутина, имя, кукла, кувшин, собака, искра, солнце.

Жюри подводит итог.

4. Конкурс 3 – «Составь предложение».

- Итак, слова изучены, написаны правильно. Теперь необходимо составить предложения. Но все дело в том, что резкий порыв ветра перепутал все слова! Ваша задача – расставить слова в правильном порядке, прочитать и перевести эти предложения. За правильный ответ команда получает 3 балла.

It is a happy little red dog.

It is a happy big black cat.

Rex is a little black dog (tree – лишнее слово).

Сhuck is a big red cat (pond – лишнее слово).

Жюри подводит итог.

5. Конкурс 4 – «Необходимый артикль»

- При  составлении любого предложения необходимо хорошо знать грамматические правила. Вот и сейчас у вас на столах по 2 карточки с артиклями. Я буду зачитывать словосочетания, а вы по очереди показывайте необходимую карточку:

A cold lake

A good name

AN old man

A big plate

A little cake

A good game

A bad name

AN old queen

6. Конкурс 5 – «Опиши картинку»

- Вот мы и добрались до самого главного конкурса. На доске вы видите картинку. Ваша задача – составить и записать как можно больше предложений, которые будут начинаться со слов I see …

Thank you very much. Now your task is to describe your room. As for me my favourite room is my living room. It is the biggest room in my house. There are four windows in it. Near the wall there is a TV set. To the left of it there are two bookshelves. In front of the TV there is a sofa and two armchairs. On the floor there is a carpet.

And what can you tell me about your rooms?

1.       What room do you like best?

2.       Is it big?

3.       Are there any flowers?

4.       What color are wallpapers in your room?

5.       What furniture is there in your room?

Wonderful. So it is time to perform your dialogues. Your homework was to prepare dialogues between Russian and American students. You will speak about your houses. I’ll give you two minutes to be ready. Sit together and repeat.

DIALOGUE 1

–         Hi! How are you?

–         Fine, thanks and you?

–         Everything is OK. Thank you. come in, please.

–         Your home is comfortable.

–         Yes, it is very nice.

–         How many rooms are there?

–         There are a lot of rooms. In the basement there are a workout room, a recreation room, a guest room and a bathroom.

–         And what is there upstairs?

–         Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a living room and a study. Let’s go there.

–         How comfortable!

–         Yes, the living room is the most comfortable room in the house.

–         Here I can see a lot of flowers, do you like them?

–         Yes, my sister is fond of flowers.

–         Do you work on a computer?

–         Yes I do. I have got a lot of games and some educational programs.

–         How interesting! And where will we stay?

–         You will stay in the guest room downstairs. I hope you will be comfortable there.

DIALOGUE 2

–         Welcome dear guests! How are you?

–         We are fine, thanks and you?

–         That’s OK. Come in, please.

–         First of all we’ll go to the guest room. You are tired, aren’t you?

–         Yes, a little. Your house is wonderful!

–         Yes you are right. Let’s go. I’ll show you the house. This is a kitchen.

–         You have so many appliances there.

–         Yes, they make our life easier. This is our dishwasher where we wash plates automatically.

–         And what is there in the sink?

–         This is a disposal. It minces vegetable peels and they disappear.

–         How convenient!

–         And have you got any appliances in Russia?

–         Yes, for example a food processor. It helps to cook meals. It can do different operations.

–         Russian people also have many different appliances which also make our life easier.

–         Russian houses are as comfortable as American-ones.

–         You are right. There is no place like home.

• Let’s go. I’ll show you the rest of the house.

DIALOGUE 3

–         Come in, please. We are waiting for you. How was your flight?

–         Everything was fine. Thank you.

–         Have you ever been in an American house?

–         No, I haven’t. but I have seen it on TV.

–         Your house is very beautiful. How many rooms are there?

–         There are 8 rooms. In the basement there are a kitchen, a laundry room, a dining room and a bathroom.

–         And what is there upstairs?

–         Upstairs there bedrooms, a living room and a study.

–         What is the study for? What do you do there?

–         There are a lot of books, a computer. There we do our homework and operate a computer.

–         How interesting! As for me I do the homework in my room. There are also a lot of bookshelves and flowers.

–         So in the study you work, don’t you?

• Yes. That’s right. Now I’ll show you the room where you will stay. Let’s go.

So, today we have talked about Russian and American houses. We repeated the words of rooms and furniture. When we watch American films we can see their houses. Tell me, please:
