1. I am going to give a talk about Families and Friends: Are we Happy Together?
2. Family means a lot for me. (значит много)

Family is a unity  (союз) of people who support (поддерживают) each other in difficult situations.

Family is as (также важна как) important for me as my friends.

When I get into trouble (случаются неприятности), I ask my parents for advice (совет).

My family cares about me. (заботятся)

My family worries about me. (беспокоятся)

We speak about life, listen to music and have fun together.

3. I have a family that loves me and friends, I enjoy spending time with.

A real friend is a person who supports (поддерживает) you, never tells you lies(не обманывает) and keeps your secrets.

A good friend should cheer you up (ободряют) , defend (защищают) you and give you advice.

Emerson (Эмерсон)said, “ A friend is one, before whom I may think aloud”, and I agree. (Тот, с кем я могу думать вслух).

We need friends when we are sad and when we are happy .

4. Some people have a lot of friends, but some people have the only (единственного)  friend.                                                                                                                 My best friend is my classmate.  

We  became friends in the kindergarten (дет. Саду).  I think real friends are very rare ( редкость) and  Life is cool with friends.

5. My parents and I are people of different generations (разных поколений).  I appreciate (ценю)  their advice, but sometimes I ignore  it or forget (забываю)  it. Usually we get on well (ладим) with each other.

It happens (случается) that we don’t like to watch the same (одни и те же) films or to listen to the same music. We have different opinion (разное мнение)  about  fashion and computer games. Sometimes we quarrel (ссоримся), but we try to avoid quarrels (стараемся избежать ссор) and to understand each other.(понимать друг друга)

6. To avoid quarrels (чтобы избежать ссор) we should spend more time together.

There are different entertainment activities (развлечения)  for people in the world. Some of them are useful (полезны) , the other are amazing(занимательны).

But, the most important, that we can spend time together with  the family, it’s great!  Together we can do so much!

With my family  I prefer watching videos and films and going to pop and rock concerts.

With my family I enjoy picnics in the countryside or taking part in sport activities or competitions. I think It’s really amazing.

One of the best activities is chatting (поговорить) with family about personal problems and funny events.

To my mind, travelling by car is very comfortable and cool. Every  summer we travel to the Black Sea, where we rest and relax together.                                                                                                               In my opinion, spending time together and different activities can help us understand each other better, respect (уважать) each other and solve the problems of the family.

Professions 1

1.They say, when you make your choice, you make your life.

2.I think so too. Why? ( ex.1)

First, to get education is very important.

Then , it’s serious to find the profession you need.

Finally, to make a choice is difficult.

    3. After the exams the 9th formers  can enter the 10th form and get secondary education, they can study in a college or technical school and get special secondary education,  they  may start working.

4. There are special characteristics  and qualities  for every job, but you should be hardworking and well organized always. (Ex. 6)

5. It’s necessary for a doctor to be accurate and  educated, because to treat people is very responsible.

Or:

It’s necessary for a journalist to be energetic and creative, because  he has to visit  many places  a day.

6. He should be curious  and patient to all people, who sometimes can be unpleasant and not polite.

7. Ability to speak foreign languages  is very useful for  journalists, they may interview tourists and specialists  from different countries.

8.A sense of humour can help a lot, because journalist’s job is difficult and serious,

9. A journalist is a person who  write articles and reports for newspapers and magazines , they meet and interview different people. (W ex.1)

10. I wouldn’t mind being a teacher. ( ex.7) The job is very creative and gives you an opportunity to meet new people
11. The job is well paid and exсiting. The teacher  has got regular working hours and summer holidays,  every day is different.
12. I will never be a surgeon; it’s very courageous and well paid job
13. A lot of people need it. But it stressful and dangerous, surgeons have long working hours.

Professions -2

1. There are a lot of traditional and modern professions.
2. To my mind, the most prestigious and popular jobs nowadays are ( см. свой список 5 профессий)
3. Some of them are stressful and dangerous, such as   (см. свой список 4 пр.).
4. 4.Now I am a 9th form graduator, so it’s time to think about my future career and future job.
5.  As for me ( ex.8)

I would like to enter the 10th form and then University. I want to enter  a higher medical education.

Or:

I would like to enter a vocational school and to get a special  secondary education.

        6. My wish is to be independent, confident and well educated.

6. (Ex. 22) In childhood some children  want to be firemen or cosmonauts, but after some time they become teachers or engineers.
7. For example, my mum: in childhood her hobby was pets and animals, she liked to feed and walk dogs and dreamt about the profession of a vet.
8. At school she was interested in Biology, later she got a higher medical education in a medical university. Now she is a well educated veterinarian.
9. So, in my opinion interests and hobbies are very important for choosing a future profession. They influence on a choice.
