Урок по теме “Walt Disney” в разделе Hobbies по УМК  English – 4

Цели урока: 

• развитие речевой компетенции учащихся на основе чтения текста с разными стратегиями;
• знакомство со страноведческим материалом.

 Задачи урока:

Образовательные:

• развитие лексико-грамматических навыков;
• развитие навыков чтения вслух и про себя;
• развитие умения отвечать на поставленные вопросы.  

Развивающие:  

• развитие способности осуществлять продуктивные речевые действия;
• развитие социокультурной компетенции;
• развитие общеучебных, познавательных способностей;
• развитие памяти, внимания, умения слушать и слышать учителя и одноклассников.

Личностные:

• формирование познавательной мотивации учащихся.

Воспитательные:

• привитие интереса к английскому языку;
• воспитание умения общаться, взаимодействовать.

Современные образовательные технологии:

- информационно-коммуникативные технологии

- обучение в сотрудничестве (групповая работа)

- здоровье сберегающие технологии

- проблемное обучение

Наглядность: коллаж - презентация, дидактический материал, раздаточный материал c заданиями, песня  “Party Time” из учебного цикла  “Disney’s Magic English”.

Техническое оснащение урока: мультимедийный проектор, ноутбук, видео- записи.

ХОД УРОКА

1. Организационный момент

The pupils are taking their seats at the desks.

Teacher: Good morning, boys and girls! It’s nice to see you.

 How are you today?

At the last lesson we were talking about watching television.

 I want you to guess the theme of our lesson today. Look at the board. There are some pictures and words about them. Let’s match them. Now read them and find out the theme of our lesson.

(Слова на карточках, прикрепленных к доске слева: CARTOONS, AMERICA, WALT DISNEY; картинки и фотографии, изображающие это - справа).

( Выходят желающие ученики и соотносят картинки и надписи)

Teacher: And now look at the screen. There is a poem – a syncwine about it for your help. I have already acquainted you with this type of poems. You know that the first and the last lines of it are the synonyms. Try to guess the missing words.

( На экране написан стих – синквейн, в первой строке которого зашифровано слово – тема урока).

      Teacher: Now, tell me what the theme of our lesson is today.

      Pupils: Walt Disney.

      Teacher: Yes, that’s right. Do you like to watch cartoons? I’m sure you do! We’ll talk about them later.

 We have got the plan of our lesson. Look at the screen:

1. Revising Vocabulary

2. Training Irregular Verbs

3. Reading

4. Speaking

And I suggest working to this plan.

You have got the cards with faces. You should say about these kinds of work at the end of the lesson. If you like it you’ll show a happy face and if don’t like it you’ll show a sad one.

2. Речевая зарядка

      Teacher: OK. Let’s start and train our tongues. There is a drilling for you. Let’s revise three forms of Irregular Verbs. I want you to revise it all together. (Показывает видео с неправильными глаголами – 3 формы)

      Pupils: (Повторяют за диктором три формы глаголов).     

Teacher: Well done. Now you will work in groups. You will have the cards with Irregular Verbs. You should match three forms of them. It’s a competition. Who will be the first? (Дети работают в группах).

       Teacher:

       OK. Your group is  the first winner, your group is the second and your group is the third winner.

3. Проверка домашнего задания

 Teacher: At home you had to write your sentences with different Grammar Tenses. Now I will give you the Cards with missing verbs. You should write the correct form of the verb from the brackets.

Pupils:

      (Выполняют задание на листочке)

      Teacher: Now let’s check your work. Read one by one aloud.

Pupils: (Читают, объясняют свой выбор)

4. Физкультминутка

Teacher: Now let’s have a rest. Stand up, please. Pretend you are cartoons characters. Let’s dance. (На экране показывает отрывок из мультфильма “Party Time” из учебного цикла  “Disney’s Magic English”)

Pupils:

 (Ученики танцуют под музыку и подпевают)

5. Изучение нового материала

Teacher: Yes, it is great. Now I want you to read the text at page 70. Open your Student’s Books and read Exercise 16 to yourself. Before reading pay attention to the new words at the screen:

Let’s read them aloud and translate one by one.  

Pupils: (читают вслух и переводят)

Teacher: Now you will work in groups.

a) The first group will read this text to yourself and answer the questions:

- Who is Walt Disney?

- What is he famous for? (Просмотровое чтение)

b) The second group will read the text and divide it into 2 parts and name them. (Изучающее чтение)

c) The third group will read the text and answer the following questions:

 - What do you know about W. Disney?

 - How Mickey Mouse did come onto the screen?

 - Why are Disney’s cartoons so popular with the audience?

 - What do you know about Disneyland?     (Чтение с извлечением конкретной  информации). You have 5 minutes for your work.

Pupils: (Отвечают на вопросы после прочтения)

6. Актуализация знаний и умений

Teacher: I know that you like watching cartoons. It’s time to work in pairs. I want you to ask your partner what cartoons they prefer watching – Russian or Disney’s ones? And why? What are their favourite characters? And why? How often do they watch cartoons a week? You’ll get a card with the chart. Ask your partner these questions and fill in it. You have 5 minutes.

Teacher: And now one pupil of your group will compare the cards in his group with other answers. And he/she summarize your answers. He has 2 minutes.

7. Обобщение и систематизация изученного материала

Teacher: Are you ready? Now tell us about the results of your work.

Pupil:  … pupils like  to watch Russian cartoons because they are …

               … pupils like  to watch Disney’s cartoons because they are …

               … pupils think that  … are their favourite characters because …

               … pupils watch cartoons … times a week.

Teacher: So, you see tastes differ.

8. Подведение итогов

Teacher: So, it’s time to make a conclusion. We worked very hard today. We have done many things. Now you will appreciate your work in different activities with the cards of faces. For excellent work show a happy face, for good work show a serious face, and for bad work show a sad face.

• How do you like working in pairs?

      Pupils: (Показывают карточки с лицами – веселым, серьезным и грустным)

Teacher: I see you think you worked rather well today. I’ve enjoyed your work today. I put excellent marks to …, I put good marks to… .

9.        Домашнее задание

And here is your home task for the next lesson: ex. 19 p.72 to write about your favourite cartoon. (10-15 sentences) and try to retell .
