Цели и задачи урока:

1. Активизация лексического материала по теме “Appearance”.

2. Повторение лексики по теме: “My body” .

3. Развитие умения построения монологического высказывания.

4. Развитие умения описывать внешность людей.

5. Развитие фонетических, речевых умений, грамматических.

6. Развитие памяти, мышления.

7.  Воспитание культуры речи, интереса к иностранному языку.

Оборудование:  картины, карточки со словами,  учебник К.И. Кауфман «Счастливый английский. ру» для 6 класса;  рабочая тетрадь.

Лексический материал: head, face, leg, chin, hand, arm, body, eye, ear, mouth, hair, feet, blonde, tall, small, big, dark, slim, short, straight, black, curly, fat, green, red, blue, long.

1. Организационный момент: приветствие  и речевая разминка:

-Good morning children    (Good morning teacher!)

-I’m glad to see you.

-How are you today?   (We are fine! Thank you.)

Sit down, please.    What date is it today? ( Today is the 17th of  February)

What day is it today?  (Today is Thursday.) Who is away today? (All are present  today.)

2. Сообщение темы и цели урока:Listen to my poem and you can guess what is the topic of our lesson today: №1.   I see with my eyes. I hear with my ears. I taste with my mouth. I smell with my nose.

№ 2. This is a boy.  

         He is saying,

        “This is my head;

         This is my face;

         This is my hair;

         This is my forehead;

         These are my eyes;

         These are my ears;

         These are my nose;

         This is my mouth;

         This is my chin;

         These are my cheeks;

         These are my eyebrows;        

        These are my eyelashes;

        This is my neck.”

Today we’ll talk about  our body, face, appearance.

3. Phonetic exercises:

Look at the blackboard and read please:

3.2. Read these words after your teacher:

an eye- eyes

a lip- lips        

a  tooth-teeth

an arm- arms

an ear- ears

a hand- hands

a leg- legs

a foot-feet

a chin- chins

a finger- fingers

a nose – noses

3.3 Read: A tiger has sharp teeth.

                The tiger eats meat.

3.4. Act out  the commands, please:

Touch your right ear, eye, hand.

Touch your head.

Touch your lips.

Touch your left ear, eye, hand.

Clap your hands.

Touch your hair.

Touch your mouth

Touch your nose.

4. Основная часть урока:

4.1 Look at the blackboard. Match parts of the body in the picture and the words  (picture 1)

4.2 Look at the girl and describe her appearance ( picture 2)

(She has short red hair, a round face, big dark brown eyes, a small nose, small ears, thin lips, thin eye brows).

4.3. Open your text-books on page 156 ex. 6

Write the opposite of: short; blonde; curly; slim; kind.

short- long; (tall)

blonde-dark or black;

curly- straight;

slim- fat;

kind-angry (unkind)

-Well done! And now do ex. 7 on page 156.

Distribute the words into columns, please

In your workbook let’s do exercise 2 on page 72.

-What is missing? Draw the parts of the children’s faces.
