Брейн - ринг 10 -11 класс

Участники игры: учащиеся 10-11 классов.

Задачи игры:

   - воспитательная – создать положительную мотивацию к дальнейшему изучению английского языка и активному его использованию;

  - образовательная – расширить кругозор учащихся;

  - формировать у учащихся интерес к культуре народа изучаемого языка;

  - развивающая – совершенствовать у учащихся память, воображение, внимание, логическое мышление;

  - практическая – систематизировать и обобщить знания учащихся по теме «Страноведение. Англоговорящие страны».

Оснащение:

- карты англоговорящих стран (США, Великобритании, Канады, Австралии, Новой Зеландии),

- флаги англоговорящих стран,

- песочные часы,

- академические головные уборы капитанов.

План игры:

1. Вступительное слово учителя.
2. Представление ведущего.
3. Представление команд.
4. Представление членов жюри.
5. Напоминание правил игры.
6. Содержание игры.
7. Подведение итогов игры.
8. Заключительное слово ведущего.

Ход игры:

1. Вступительное слово учителя.

My friends! Today the pupils of the tenth and the eleventh forms are ready to play a very interesting game. It is called «Brain ring». I hope you’ll like it. So let’s start. I’d like to introduce you the organizer – she is Kvashelava Natalia. Come here Natalia. It’s your turn Good luck!!!

1. Вступительное слово ведущего.

Well, friends, attention, please. I’m sure you’re all fine today, aren’t you? The weather is wonderful. The weekend is coming and soon you’ll get a chance to put away all your textbooks and spend time with your friends.

     We’ve gathered today to hold one of the TV games which were extremely popular among the school-leavers several years ago. It is called «Brain-ring». Our game will be devoted to the English-speaking countries. That’s why the walls of our classroom are decorated in this way today. You see the geographical maps of the English-speaking countries, their flags, colourful pictures, postcards demonstrating some historical places, places of interest and the portraits of English and American writers. I do hope that you’ve learnt a lot of interesting facts in our English lessons about the geographical position of the countries< their climate, vegetation and wild life, the heads of the countries, the streets, the squares, some palaces and monuments and people’s lifestyle. I’m sure you’ll certainly get some more information today as well.

Please stand up and greet the jury. They are Rebrekova OV, Kononchuk AG, Kochetkov v, Novokreschenova A, Kihoyal A. And of couse, the jury will be the eyes and ears following the game and helping to score the points as possible. The team with the highest score will be the winner

    5.  Напоминание правил игры.

The rules of the game are quite simple. You are to respect your group-mates and not to shout.

No doubt, winning is the aim, but it is only the game.

Don’t forget that.

One point will be awarded for every correct answer.

You have one minute to discuss the question.

If you know the answer, show your nail up.

The quicker you hold your hand the quicker you will be asked.
