Урок английского языка в 6-ом классе

Тема урока: England. The Tour of  London.  Развитие коммуникативных навыков при помощи аудирования.

Ход урока.

Организационный этап

        Приветствие.

Teacher: Hello, dear children!

Pupils: Hello, dear teacher!

Teacher: How are you?

Pupils: We are fine, thanks. And how are you?

Teacher: I am OK. I am glad you are fine and hope you are in a good mood and ready to work.

Этап вызова

Речевая разминка.

Teacher: It’s a nice day today, isn’t it?

 Children, look at phrase on the board:

«If you are tired of London, you are tired of  life”» (ДжонсонСэмьюэль) 

– What do you think, what we are going to talk about today?

Pupils : We are going to talk about London.

Teacher: Thank you, you are right. Do you agree with this quotation?

Pupils: Yes, I agree with J. Samuel because there are many interesting things to see in London and you cannot be tired of London.

Teacher:  I would like to ask you some questions. I`ll read you some facts about the sightseeing in London. Try to guess what it is. Are you ready? Well, let`s begin!

  1. It is the official London residence of the Queen. The first Queen to live there was the young Queen Victoria. Above the State Entrance there is the central balcony where the Royal Family appear on occasions of national importance. (Buckingham Palace)
  2. There is a column of one of the famous Admirals, who was wounded in 1805.It stands in the middle of the Square. What square is it? (Trafalgar Square)
  3. This building long continued to be both a fortress and a palace. It was also a prison. It is a museum now. (The Tower of London)
  4. This is London`s Theatre land and at night it is bright with electric signs. One of the busiest stations of London`s underground lies under it. (Piccadilly Circus) 
  5. This is the bridge. It was designed so that it could be used equally by road traffic and by ships. (Tower Bridge) 
  6. It is the symbol of London. It was called after Sir Benjamin Hall. He was a very tall and stout man, whose nickname was … (Big Ben)
  7. You can see these men outside the Buckingham Palace (the Guards).
  8. Another name of this building is the Palace of Westminster. There are two towers in the Palace of Westminster: the Victoria Tower and the Clock Tower (the Houses of Parliament)

Учащиеся отвечают на вопросы учителя.

 Сообщение целей урока.

Teacher: Today we are going to listen to the story “Tour of  London”.

Teacher: So, first we’ll listen to the text, then we’ll do some exercises on the text and at the end of the lesson you’ll try to play out your projects , connected to the story. We have a lot of work to do. Let’s get to work

Подготовка к аудированию.

Teacher: Now, we are going to listen to the story. Look at the blackboard and read the title please. I think the title is quite clear isn’t it? Can you guess what the story is about?

Pupil 1: I think . . . ;  Pupil 2: To my mind . . . (высказывают своё мнение)

          Аудирование.

а) первое прослушивание текста;

Teacher:  Listen to the story and try to understand it.

б) выполнение задания по тексту 

Teacher:  Write a number (1-8) to put these places in order that the tour bus will visit them.

в) второе прослушивание;

Teacher: You’ll listen to the story for the second time and do the following task while you are listening to it. Circle the best word to complete these sentences.

 Фронтальная работа с группой на основе прослушанного текста.

На основе прослушанного текста учащиеся отвечают на вопросы.

Развитие навыков монологической  речи.

Teacher: Children,  do you think the tour was perfect? Why?

Now let’s divide and work in groups of 3.
Imagine that you are guides at the travel agency. What can you say about places of interest in London?
(Ученики получают фотографии с достопримечательностями)
Your task is to prepare short monologues about the sightseeing.

Этап рефлексии.

Учитель создает условия для оценочной деятельности учащихся в парах, выставляет оценки и задает домашнее задание.

Teacher: Dear friends! Our lesson is coming to its logical end. What did you do during the lesson?

Ps: We listened to the text.

We did the exercises.

We answered the questions.

Teacher: Put marks in groups.

Учащиеся выставляют отметки.    

Подведение итогов.

Учитель выражает благодарность учащимся за активную работу, объявляет оценки.

Запись домашнего задания.
