Урок 7. Роль семьи и друзей в жизни подростков

Цели: развитие навыков изучающего чтения по теме «Семья и друзья»; активизация навыков устной речи; закрепление лексических навыков и навыков перевода.

Оборудование: карточки c заданиями по теме «Семья и друзья»; проектор, компьютер.

Ход урока

1. Организационный момент

- Good morning, boys and girls! (Good morning, Maria Viktorovna!)

- Let's remember our new poem to greet each other. Listen to me, please.

It's time to say "Hello!" (Hello!) It's time to say "Hello!" (Hello!) It's time to say "Hello!" (Hello!) And start our lesson.

- I am glad to see you. (We are glad to see you too.)

How are you? (We are fine, thanks. And how are you?)

- I am fine, thank you. Who is absent today? (All pupils are present.)

       Today we`re going to continue our talking about the role of friends and family in the life of people.

2. Фонетическая зарядка

- I want you to look at the blackboard. Can you read the words from it? Read the first (second, third) column. Read the words after Max (Vlada). Find the odd words in each list:

fashion                         sport                              smoking

music                           computer                        dieting

education                     housework                      keeping

friends                          parties                            shopping

strange                         style                                visiting

drinks                          pocket money                  hobby

Keys: 1 столбик - strange (все слова первого столбика - существительные, а данное слово - прилагательное); 2 столбик -parties (все слова - в единственном числе, а данное слово - во множественном числе); 3 столбик - hobby (все слова, кроме данного слова, c окончанием -ing).

3Речевая разминка

- Now you will agree or disagree with my statements. We'll have a talk about the role of friends and family in the life of people.

If you agree with me, repeat my statement. If you disagree with me, share your ideas.

Примерные утверждения:

1. Old and young people always see the world in the same way. (/ disagree with you. Old and young people often see the world in the different way.)

2. Life isn't worth living without friends. (/ agree with you. Life isn 't worth living without friends.)

3. Nearly every household has at least one television set. (/ agree with you. Nearly every household has at least one television set.)

4. Friends always support you in different situations. (/ disagree with you. Friends can betray you.)

5. We should take care of our relatives and friends. (/ agree with you. We should take care of our relatives and friends.)

6. Your family is more important to you than your friends. (Iagree with you. My family is more important to me than my friends.)

7. You can ask your parents for advice. (/ disagree with you. My parents don't understand me. I can't ask my parents for advice.)

8. You never quarrel with your friends. (/ disagree with you. I often quarrel with my friends.) Etc.

5. Формирование навыков чтения

- Let's read the teenagers' views on family and friends. We shall read three stories in our textbooks, page 21, exercise 30. You will work in a group of 5. Choose and read one of the texts. Are you ready to start? What sentence reflects the idea of the text in a most accurate way? What does your family mean for you? Are the friends important in our life? Why? Why not?

 

Примерные ответы учащихся:

1. My family always support me.

2. I can't imagine my life without friends.

3. I am sure that my friends never betray me.

4. I think that it is difficult to find a real friend.

5. I enjoy spending time with my friends.

6. Sometimes I ignore my parents' advice.

       We can see that you have different opinions about families and friends. Some pupils say that the family means a lot for them and their relatives are more important to them than friends. Other children think that friends are everything for them.

6. Закрепление лексических навыков и навыков перевода

- It's time to look through the text again and find the sentences with -ing forms. It's exercise 31, page 22 in your textbooks. Will you read the task? Who is ready to read the sentences and translate them?

7. Активизация навыков диалогической речи

- I'd like you to work in pairs. Look at the task of exercise 32, page 22 in your textbooks. You will prepare two questions and ask your partner to answer them. We shall discuss the role of family and friends in our life.

Примерные вопросы учащихся:

1. Can you find real friends easily?

2. Are your parents ready to help you in a difficult situation?

3. Do you always follow your parents' advice?

4. Have your friends ever betrayed you?

5. Do you appreciate your friends' advice?

6. Do you and your parents see the world in the same way?

7. What do you and your friends like doing together?

8. How often do you quarrel with your friends (parents)? Etc.

8. Активизация навыков монологической речи

- It is interesting to find out your opinion about the ideas of the teenagers from exercise 30, page 21. You will work in groups of 4 and comment on each of the texts. The beginnings of the sentences from exercise 33, page 22 will help you to share your ideas. Don't forget to give the arguments to prove your opinion.

9. Активизация лексических и орфографических навыков

- It's time to complete some words. I want you to open your exercise-books and write down the date. Fill in the letters in these words and write them down in your exercise-books.

- I'd like you to open your textbooks. It will be exercise 34, page 22. Listen to short stories and say if the pictures are right or wrong. Listen to the information again and explain why some stories are wrong.

11. Подведение итогов урока
