Task 1

1. Find the mistakes in the letter. You can see the number of the mistakes at the end of each line in brackets.
2. Correct them and rewrite the letter, underline the corrected words/ places.

Dear Chris,

Thanks for your letter. I am really sorry didn’t write back yearlier, but I have only just got back   (4) from holiday. I went with three friends to a little place caled Mojacar which is near of Almeria.   (2) So, it wasn’t exactly that we expected!                                                                                              (3)

We booked some rooms in hotel in the village before, but when we arrived we were extremely    (2) disappointing. It was old, rather dirty and we couldn’t to see the sea. So, we decided change.       (3)  The next hotel was perfectly. It had the biggest swimming pool I ever seen. We swam there          (3) for the whole day. But it was one problem – it was much expensive!                                               (2)                   We stay one night and then we had to change again!                                                                         (2)

On the end we found the beautiful flat with a balcony and it was enough cheap!                             (3)

Unfortunately we only had four days of our holiday left!                                                                  (2)

Anyway, I must go and unpack my suitcase! Write you again soon.

Thanks for your letter. I’m really sorry have n’t written back earllier, but I have only just got       (4)  back from holiday. I went to Germany on a tour. I wanted big holiday on "Oktoberfest".                (1)  But everything go wrong. So, it wasn’t exactly that I expected!                                                       (3)                                        

I booked a room in a hostel before, but when I arrived I was extremely displeasing.                       (2)                 I got into a room with a noisy company. I could not to get sleep enough during the daytime,           (2)

becouse I was constantly being asked. I walked around the streets sleepy all the time and often       (3)          fell asleep right on the street. Anyway I've seen few attractions, as I did not have the strength to     (4)            walk with nobody during the day. My tour operator saved a money and gave me a hostel.               (2)              I believe that the firm must pay me back for the concert I didn’t see and the bear I haven’t drank!  (3)

I’m sorry I have not (_) answered earlier but I was really busy with my school.   (2)                As you ask me whether I would like to study English at school if I can (_)to (_)choose.                              (2)                                     Well, I can say no. (_)  if (_)I could choose subjects I would (_)never study English at school.                   (3)         There is (_) a lot of reasons four (_) that. First, English grammar is very different. (_)                                 (3)                  Verb times (_) make me feel sleep. (_) Second (_) the words – there are so much (_) of them.                    (4) And I can’t remember all (_). Third, it’s very difficult to read.
