Разработка урока английского языка по теме: «История праздника Рождества. Празднование Рождества в России.» 6-7 класс.

Цель: создать условия для развития познавательного интереса к учению, развития коммуникативных навыков и расширения знаний учащихся о культурных традициях своей страны.

Задачи:  

• Познакомить учащихся с историей праздника «Рождества» и особенностями празднования «Рождества» в нашей стране.
• Создать условия для формирования иноязычных коммуникативных компетенций.
• Создать условия для формирования уважительного отношения к культуре и традициям своей страны.

Оборудование: доска, наглядный материал (картинки с изображением новых лексических единиц), компьютер, экран, проектор, мультимедийная презентация, аудиозапись «Рождественская песня», распечатки с текстом, распечатки с заданиями.

Познавательный аспект: учащиеся познакомятся с традициями и культурой своей страны на основе праздника Рождества.

Развивающий аспект: целенаправленное развитие психических функций, связанных с речевой деятельностью, таких как внимание, логическое мышление, зрительная и слуховая память, языковая догадка.

Учебный аспект: работа над овладения всеми видами речевой деятельности:  говорение, чтение, аудирование и письмо.

Воспитательный аспект: повышения интереса к изучению английского языка, умения внимательного слушать собеседника, воспитание чувства духовности и любви к культуре родной страны.

Языковой материал: слова, речевые образцы, текст, высказывания по теме.

Ход урока.

1.Организационный момент и приветствия.  

Good morning children.

2.Введение в атмосферу урока.

Today will have a talk about one of the most wonderful holidays for people: Christmas. We spoke a lot about Christmas in English- speaking countries. But today we are going to speak about the history of Christmas and Christmas in our country.

Teacher: Who remembers, when do English people celebrate Christmas?

Pupil 1: The English celebrate Christmas on the 25  the of December/

Teacher: When do we celebrate Christmas in our country?

Pupil 2: We celebrate Christmas on the 7-th of January?

Teacher: Do you know the reason why we celebrate the holiday in different time?

Teacher:  Русская Православная Церковь пользуется юлианским календарем — в отличие от католиков, которые пользуются григорианским.

2. Чтение текста. ( reading of the text) To practise reading for detail.

The Orthodox Christmas is celebrated on the 7-th of January. The holiday is connected with the wonderful birth of Jesus Christ as it is described in the Holy Bible.

Joseph and Maria went to  Bethlehem to record their names. Here they couldn't find a place in a house. They stayed outside of the city in a cave, where shepherds rounded- up cattle (скот) in a bad weather. Here at night the most holy Maiden ( пресвятая дева) bore the baby, wrapped him in swaddling clothes ( спеленала его) and put in a manger. At the night when the Christmas was born the Bethlehem shepherd were in a field. Suddenly an angel appeared to them. He told them, «Do not be afraid! I am  bringing you the great joy: this night the Savior of the world was born»

At this time many angels appeared (появились) in the sky. They song, «Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will to awards men»

(Cлава в Вышних Богу, и на земли мир, в человецех благоволение»

When the angels disappeared, shepherds went  to Bethlehem to bow  to the Baby. Wise men from the East came to worship him too. They gave the child presents – gold, frankincense and myrrh.

That’s why people nowadays try to please their friends and relatives giving them Christmas presents.

-to sing «kolyadki»                                                                                    -to give presents

-to wear costumes and masks.
