Конспект открытого урока по английскому языку в 9 классе.

Тема: «Музыка в нашей жизни»

Цели:

• Развитие слуховой памяти, фонематического слуха, внимания, способностей к сравнению, сопоставлению и предложению, развитие умения антиципировать (предвосхищать / прогнозировать содержание);
• Совершенствование лексических и грамматических навыков говорения.
• Развитие умения аудировать с целью полного  понимания информации, с целью извлечения конкретной информации и с целью понимания основного содержания.
• Развитие умения читать с целью понимания основного содержания.
• Знакомство с яркими музыкальными событиями Британии (Променад концерты), со знаменитым  Бродвейским  мюзиклом «Звуки Музыки», знакомство с группой Битлз и их песней.
• Воспитание потребности в приобщении к мировой культуре через музыку.

Оборудование: CD – проигрыватель, звукозаписи с текстом, и с песнями, плакат «Музыкальные инструменты», карточки с буквами для теста, карточки с заданиями.

Ход урока.

Мотивационно-целевой этап:

1.Greeting and aim ( 1 min.)

T: Good afternoon. I’m glad to see you. Let’s start our lesson .

Look at the blackboard please, what do you see?

P: musical instruments.

T: all right! Today we’ll revise everything we have learnt about music, styles of music, music tastes,  practise our listening, reading, speaking. So our today’s topic is “Music in our life”.

Can you play musical instruments?

P: No, I don’t.

T: do you want to study playing any musical instruments?

P: yes, I do. No, I don’t.

 2. Warming-up (4 min.) (речевая зарядка)


Look at the board, please, and read the motto of our lesson (“Life without music

would be a mistake”) Do you agree with this wonderful quotation?

P1: It goes without saying I do, because we can’t imagine our life without music.

P2: I think life without music would be boring!

P3: In my opinion, life without music isn’t interesting at all.

P4: Really, the life would be a mistake if we didn’t hear music, because music helps us in

everything we do.

T: Right you are. What kind of music can people hear? 
And what music styles do you know?

T: As for me, I enjoy listening to classical music, because it is emotional, serious and healing And what about you, Masha?

P1: As for me, I like pop music because it is cheerful, simple and touching.

P2: As for me, I enjoy listening to folk music, because it is beautiful, traditional, romantic.

P3: As for me, I like rap, because it is emotional, energetic and catchy.

P: at concerts halls, at opera houses, in London…

3.T: When are the concerts held?

P: all the year round, in summer…

4.T: Who comes to the concerts?

P:Tourists,  Londoners, all people, young people, schoolchildren, students…

5.T: Who takes part in the concerts?

P: Famous orchestras and conductors, singers, dancers…

2. Listening.

 Have  you ever heard about promenade concert?

P: (reading about  promenade) Promenade –  променад - to walk up and down in a relaxed way, by the sea, in a public park, etc.

T: Now I suggest you to listen the history of  the promenade concert and do the test. Open your books at page 48 ex.1(2). Listening for detail. Choose the correct answer. (listening twice).

T: now you are ready to check up our tests. Please,  up your cards with the letters A, B, or C. OK? Let’s start!

3. Listening the song.

T: But there can be the music without the notes?

P: not.

T: now I suggest you to listen  to “The Sounds of music”. It is the a famous Broadway musical. What is it? Let’s read!

P: (reading about  The Sounds of music” and Broadway.) The Sound of Music –  Звуки Музыки - a very popular US musical in which Julia Andrews appears as a nun (монахиня), who lives in Austria/ she goes to a large family to take care of the children whose mother has died. She teaches them to sing, has a romantic relationship with their father and marry him. They all together escape (спасаются) from the Nazis. Many of the songs in the film are very well-known.

Broadway – Бродвей -major avenue in New York (Manhattan), the heart of the theatre district, where Brodway is known as “the great white way”. New York theatres situated outside this area are described as off-Broadway.

T: let’s listen to  the song and circle the word you hear. Which words does Maria suggest the children use instead of the notes? Work in pairs, please!

T: now you are ready to check up your songs. Look at the blackboard, please. There are answers. Also, you should up your cards again.

T: Have you ever heard this song? Did you like it?

P: I like it.

3. But if you know the notes, I think it is not enough to sing a song. Also you should know the words of the song. Do you agree with me?

P: yes, I am agree with you.

T: so, what English groups do you know?

P: Britney Spears, Abba, the Beatles…

T: yes, you are all right. Today, we will listen to the song of the Beatles. But what do you know about the Beatles.

P: (reading about the Beatles) The Beatles – Битлз – a British popular music group who made their first record in 1962 and became probably the most famous and successful group ever. When they separated in 1970, each member (George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr) of the group continued to work in popular music.

T: Now let’s listen to the song and you should fill in the gaps.
