за курс начальной школы (раздел «Устная речь»)

Данный материал состоит из примерных устных высказываний и вопросов для беседы по  10 основным темам, изучаемым в курсе М.З. Биболетовой «Enjoy English» для 4 класса,  и может быть использован для  подготовки выпускников начальной школы к итоговой аттестации за курс начальной школы по английскому языку (раздел «Устная речь»).

Учащиеся составляют свои монологические высказывания по аналогии с этими образцами. Форма высказывания – описание, рассказ.

Оценить умения учащихся в монологической речи можно по следующим параметрам: соответствие коммуникативной задаче, объем связного высказывания, диапазон используемых лексических средств, относительная грамматическая и фонетическая корректность.

Вопросы для обсуждения  могут быть использованы в устной беседе типа «учитель – ученик», а также могут служить основой для составления диалогов типа «ученик – ученик» по изучаемой тематике.

Умения учащихся  в диалогической речи можно оценить по следующим критериям: способность к коммуникативному взаимодействию (использование фраз, стимулирующих общение), объем, диапазон используемых лексических средств, относительная грамматическая и фонетическая корректность.

Образцы тематических высказываний с вопросами для беседы

  1. Seasons.

There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. March, April and May are spring months. June, July and August are summer months. September, October and November are autumn months. December, January and February are winter months.

It’s warm and sunny in spring. When it’s warm, I can walk in the park. When it’s sunny, I can play with my friends. It’s cloudy, rainy and windy  in autumn. When it’s rainy, I can draw pictures. When it’s windy, I can read books at home.  It’s cold and snowy in winter. When it’s snowy, I can ski and skate. It’s hot and sunny in summer. When it’s hot, I can dive and swim.

  1. My favourite season.

There are four seasons in a year: spring, summer, autumn and winter. I like summer. It’s my favourite season. I can see a lot of grass and flowers in summer. I can ride a bike and a scooter. I can play badminton. My favourite game is volleyball. When it’s sunny and hot, we can have a picnic in the park or go to the river.

  1. My house.

I live in a house. I don’t live in a flat.  My house is not very big but it’s beautiful and comfortable. There are 4 rooms in it. They are a living room, a dining room, my parents’ bedroom, 2 children’s bedrooms, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, a pantry and a hall.

We read books and watch TV in the living room, we eat in the dining room, we cook in the kitchen, children play in the children’s rooms.

My favourite room is a living room. Our family likes to gather in it in the evening. We like to watch TV or play games together. The windows in the living room are big.  There is a wall unit with a lot of books, a TV set and a DVD – player in it. There is a big brown sofa opposite the TV set and two armchairs and a coffee table in the corner of the living room. There are a big carpet on the floor, too.

There is a nice garden near our house. There are a lot of apple trees and flowers in the garden.

I like my house.

  1. My flat.

We have a nice flat in a new house. Our flat is on the second floor. It’s not very big, but it’s clean and comfortable. We have got 3 rooms, a bathroom, a toilet and a kitchen.

The living room is large. There is a piano and a TV set there. Opposite the TV set there is a sofa and two armchairs. There is a big table and six chairs there, too. We like to sit in our living room in the evenings.

 In my parents’ bedroom there is a bed, a wardrobe and some shelves on the walls. There are a lot of books on the shelves.

My room is not very big. There is a bed, a desk and a chair in it. There are a lot of toys in my room, too. I like to play with them.

In the kitchen there is a table, four chairs, a fridge, a cooker and some cupboards. We cook and eat there.

I like my flat.

  1. My room.

I live in a house (a flat). I have got a room of my own. (I haven’t got my own room. I share it with my sister/ brother).

My room is not big, but it’s nice and comfortable.

There are two windows in it. There is a blue carpet on the floor. I have got a comfortable bed. There is a desk and a chair near the window. My books and exercise-books are on the desk. There is a computer on my desk, too. I often play computer games.  You can see some bookshelves and posters on the walls in my room. I have got a lot of toys. When my friends come we like to play in my room.

I like to spend time in my room.

  1. Russia. Moscow.

I live in Russia. Russia is the largest country in the world. There are many big cities, small towns and green village in our country. There are many long rivers, deep lakes and high mountains in Russia. A lot of people live in Russia. They speak Russian.

The capital of Russia is Moscow. Moscow is very big and beautiful. All the people know about the Kremlin and Red Square. There are a lot of parks and squares in Moscow. There are also theatres, museums and cinemas there.

I love my country and Moscow very much.

  1. Great Britain.

Great Britain is a very beautiful country.

The capital of Great Britain is London. It’s one of the largest cities in the world. London is very old and beautiful. There are many new and old houses, shops, hotels, theatres, museums and bridges in London. There are a lot of cars in the streets. You can also see many interesting towns in Great Britain, like Oxford, Cambridge and others.  

        There are green fields, parks and a lot of flowers there, too.

        Great Britain is a very nice country. I would like to visit it very much.

  1. Animals.

         There are a lot of animals in the world. Some animals are very big, others are small and funny. People usually go to the Zoo to watch animals. You can see lions, tigers, bears, giraffes, elephants, monkeys and many other animals there. Sometimes children can feed animals.

I would like to tell you about a whale. It’s my favourite animal. It’s the biggest animal in the seas and oceans. It has got a big mouth and a big tail. It can swim and dive well. It’s a smart and strong animal.

Yesterday my working day started at 7 o’clock. I got up and did my morning exercises. Then I went to the bathroom, washed my hands, face and cleaned my teeth. Then I dressed and went to the kitchen. I had tea with lemon, a sandwich and porridge for breakfast. After breakfast I went to school. My lessons began at 8.30 and ended at 2 o’clock. After school I came home, had dinner and did my homework. Then I went to the swimming pool. I like to swim very much. In the evening I read books, watched TV with my family and went for a walk with my dog. At 10 o’clock I went to bed.
