Разработка урока по теме «Home» в четвёртом классе по УМК И.Н. Верещагина, Т.А. Притыкина

         Практической целью урока является: совершенствование лексико-грамматического навыка речи по данной теме, развитие навыка аудирования, устной речи. В данном уроке учитель использует речевую ситуацию на этапе активизации лексического навыка речи, а так же для развития навыка аудирования и говорения.

Цели урока:

Образовательные: продолжать совершенствовать лексико-грамматические навыки чтения, аудирования и говорения по теме урока.

Развивающие: развивать мышление, память, самостоятельность, совершенствовать навыки устной речи, развивать интеллект и познавательные способности.

Воспитательные: формировать культуру общения на английском языке, формировать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка.

Оснащение: рисунки, доска, аудиокассеты с заданиями для аудирования.

Ход урока

1. Приветствие организационный момент.

Teacher:- Good morning. How are you?

I am fine. And you?

I am all right. You look fine nice today.

Thank you. You too.

2. Постановка цели.

Teacher: Dear boys and girls today we have an interesting lesson because I invite you to make a trip around the flat. Children, what  are we going to do today? Children: to read, to speak English, to do exercises, to do lexical exercises.

Teacher: Children there are many proverbs about homes. Read them.

 

«East or West home is best».

«There is no place like home».

«Home sweet home».

T: Do you like these proverbs? Translate them.

«В гостях хорошо, а дома лучше»

«Восток или Запад, дома лучше всего.»

Teacher: Do you know other proverbs about homes?

На чужой сторонушке рад своей воронушке.

На чужбине родная землица во сне снится.

Дома и солома съедобна.

Teacher:  What is your favourite? 

Teacher: I want you to listen to some definitions and guess what it is. You can see the pairs of words on the blackboard. Listen to me and decide what thing I shall describe first and what the second thing is.

      Teacher’s Stories:

  1. It is things that help us to read when it is dark in the room. It is a thing where we keep our clothes.
  2.  They are things which are usually on the windows and make the room lovely. It is a thing in the kitchen to cook our food.
  3.  It is s a thing in the kitchen where we can wash up. It is a thing that we can see our faces in.
  4. It is a thing we usually travel by. It is a thing where we can sit and read before the fire.
  5.   It is a place we can live. It is a place where flowers and fruit tree can grow.

3. Aктивизация лексико-грамматического материала.

  Teacher: The following task for you will be to find the mistake. Следующее задание для вас - это найти ошибки в предложениях.

1. There are two a chair in the bedroom.                There are two chairs in the bedroom

2. There is sofa in your living room?                       Is there a sofa in your living room?

3. My mothers’ room is a comfortable.                   My mother’s room is comfortable.

4. We can to play in this kitchen.                           We can play in this kitchen.

Task 1 “Rooms”

 Teacher: I want you to listen to my stories. I shall describe different rooms. You can see the numbers of the rooms on the blackboard and you will use the cards with the numbers on your desks.

 On the blackboard:

1- a kitchen   2- a bedroom     3- a dining room   4- a living room     5-a bathroom   6- a hall 7- a study

My stories:

1) People can prepare breakfast, dinner or supper in this room. Women usually spend much time there. We have fridge, a sink, a table, a cooker and a cupboard in this room. (A kitchen)

2) There are beds or a sofa in this room. You can see a little table and a wardrobe there. People have a rest there. (A bedroom)

3) This room is not very large. We take a shower or have a bath in this room. You can clean your teeth, wash your hands and face there. (A bathroom)

4) Families get together for a meal in this room. They have breakfast, lunch, dinner or supper there. There are some chairs and a table in this room. (A dinning- room)

5) There is a TV set, a wall- unit, some chairs and a sofa in this room. Some people have a fireplace there. We can see some flowers on the walls. There is often a carpet on the floor. It is usually the largest room in the house. People watch television, listen to music, or sit around and speak there. (A living room)

6.) You can see a table, a chair, a bookcase and some shelves on the wall of this room. There are books and magazines on the shelves. You can read books, do your homework or write a letter in this room. Your parents can write a report, read important letters and work there. (A study).

7) This room is not very large. People take off their overcoats, hats, boots or shoes there. There is usually a mirror and a little table there. (A hall)

4.Развитие навыка аудирования

Teacher: Yesterday I got a letter. I opened it and this letter is for you. Let’s open it. Oh, a cassette. Let’s ’listen to the tape – recorder. After listening it, be ready to answer the questions. Be careful. Do you like her room?

Hello. My name is Ann. I live in London. My hobby is music. My favourite sport is tennis. I live in a big room. There are three rooms in my house: a living room and two bedrooms. In the living room there is sofa, a video and a carpet. There isn’t a fireplace in my room. You can see a kitchen in house. My house is very cozy. I am going to visit your country. Please, prepare for me a cozy room or a house.

T: Who is this letter from?

P: It’s from Ann.

T: How many rooms are there in Ann’s house?

P: There are three rooms in Ann’s house

T: What kind of rooms are they?

P: Two bedrooms and a living room.

T: What can you see in   her   living room?

P: We can see a sofa, two armchairs, a TV set, video and a carpet in the living room.

T: Is there a fireplace in her living room?

P: No, there isn’t a fireplace in her living room.

T: Do you like her room? Would you like to have the same one?

P: I like her room, but I “d like to have another one.

5. Развитие лексических навыков говорения.

Teacher: So. Ann is going to visit our country. Let’s prepare a cozy room for her. Let’s imagine for while that you a famous designers. Suggest your own projects for Ann. What do we need to make our house beautiful and cozy?

P: A sofa, a carpet, curtains.

T: Find five objects for each of the rooms: a living room, a bathroom, a kitchen.

(A sofa , an armchair; a wall unit; a table; a fridge; a TV set, a carpet)

T: How do you want to make Ann’s room beautiful?

P: I want to place a picture on the wall.

P: I want to place armchairs near the wall.

P: I want to place a big carpet on the floor.

P: I want to place comfortable sofa near the wall.

P: I want to place a round table in the middle of the room.

P: I want to place a TV set in the corner of the room.

P: I want to place a lamp above the table.

This is the bedroom.

P: I want to place two beds, two small tables a computer on the table.

P: I want to place pink curtains on the window.

P: I want to place a small carpet on the floor.

P: I want to place a wardrobe opposite the table.

P: I want to place posters above the beds.

(затем ученики по группам описывают комнаты).

This is a living room. There is a table in the middle of the room .There are three chairs near the table. You can see armchairs and a sofa near the wall. In the living room you can see a big carpet on the floor. We have got a new TV set in the corner of the room.

(Ученики демонстрируют свои картинки).

P: This is a bedroom. In the bedroom there are two beds, two small tables, curtains on the window. You can see a new carpet on the floor.

T: All your pictures are so wonderful. But let’s see Ann’s choice. If you want to see her room, you should do special exercises.

(Ученики работают в группах)

Group 1: Look at the Ann’s room and write all the names of the objects.

(A bed, a lamp, a wardrobe, a sofa, a poster, a computer a chair).

Group 2: Make up 5-6 sentences. Start with the words:

There is a….(a table in the room);

There are…..(two armchairs near the sofa);

We can see….

I can see….

Ann has got…

Ask Ann about her room. Start with the words:

Is there……..?

Are there…….?

Have you got……?

Teacher: So, you see that our guest will live in a big comfortable room. And now let’s speak about your flats, where you live, how many rooms you have got.

6.Развитие навыка диалогической речи.

 Teacher: Let’s imagine that you are two friends and you are having a conversation.

(ученики в диалоге рассказывают о том, где они живут, узнают что-то новое о своих друзьях).

P: Hello, Kate.

P: Hello, Masha. I haven’t seen you for ages. Where do you live?

P: I live in a big house not far from Belgorod.

P: Great. How many rooms are there in your house?

P: There are four rooms in my house: a dining room, a living room, two bedrooms.

P: Your house is large, isn’t it?

P: Oh, yes. Downstairs there is a kitchen, a dining room and a living room. In the living room there are two armchairs, a sofa, a table, a TV set, a cupboard and a carpet.

P: What is there upstairs?

P: Upstairs there are two bedrooms. There isn’t a bathroom in the house, but there is a swimming pool near the house.

P: Your house sounds very cozy.

P: You are right .And where do you live?

P: I live with my parents in a two room flat. It is not very big. It is not very small. Our flat has got two rooms: a kitchen, a bathroom and a hall. Come and see me some day.

P: Thank you.

T: Each of you has got big rooms. Do you help your mother about the  house? How do you help her?

P: I wash the dishes every day.

P: I water the flowers and feed our dog.

P: I clean the house and work in the garden.

P: Sometimes I help my mother to cook meals.

7.Совершенствование навыка чтения.

Teacher: Read the text to know what traditional English homes like. And answer the questions.

8.Совершенствование навыка говорения.

Teacher: Pretend you are the teacher. Tell your classmates everything you know about the traditional English home.

Teacher: Let’s compare English and Russian homes.
