Тема: What do animals and people do for each other?

Цель урока: развитие речевых компетенций

Задачи урока:

  1. Тренировка произносительных навыков;
  2. Повторение и активизация лексического материала по теме «Животные»;
  3. Повторение, активизация и изучение грамматического материала (степени сравнения прилагательных);
  4. Развитие навыков аудирования, устной речи и чтения.

Ход урока

  1. Начало урока. Организационный момент. Introduction. Aim.

Good morning, children! I am glad to see you today. How are you?

- What is the date today?

- What is the weather like today?

На экране учитель демонстрирует видео песенки «Old McDonald has a farm».

  • What is the theme of our lesson today?

Today we are speaking about animals. And we will answer the question: What do animals and people do for each other? We will use the degrees of comparison and do some exercises.

На слайде появляется тема урока.

  1. Фонетическая зарядка Phonetic training.

But first of all let’s practice the English sounds

[i:] – eagle, sheep

[ei] – whale, snake

æ ] – camel, parrot

[f] – dolphin, elephant

 [ t ]  - tiger, kitten

  ] – chicken, kitchen

-  Please, look at the screen, listen    tongue twister.

I saw a kitten eating chicken in the kitchen.
(Я увидел котенка, евшего курицу на кухне.)

- Now repeat all together.

III.  Речевая разминка  Speaking training.  Lexical activities.

Do you remember the animals?

 -Where can the animals live?

- What animals can live on the farm? (in the zoo? in the forest?)

Find 10 animals in this wordsearch (puzzle)

- Which is cleverer, a dog or a cat?

- Which is shorter, a crocodile or a fish?

- Which is funnier, a monkey or a fox?

-Have you got a pet?

- What is your pet like?

 -What can it do?

IV  Listening. Слушание.

Listen and talk about the pet that Dima would like to have. What animal would Dima like to have?

P1. He would like to have a dolphin. It’s smart.

P2. Dima would like to have a dolphin. I think it’s a wonderful animal. It can swim, dive and jump.

V. Reading. Чтение.

And now work in group. You have the various text. You have to read and guess:  Which animal is described in the text?

- Where do kangaroos live?

-What can whales do?

- What do eagles eat?

VI Physical minute. Физминутка.


- Let’s have a rest! Look at the screen. Watch the funny song and do the actions.

What penguins like to do?

Put your hands up in the air and shake your booties round

Hand up on your toes and turn around around

Hands way up high, hands way down low

Stamp with your feet and jump, jump, jump

VII. Grammar activities. Активизация грамматических навыков

You have the sheets where you should put the adjectives into comparative or superlative degrees. Write your name

  1. A horse is………………… (tall) than a sheep.
  2. A parrot is ………………... (funny) than a hen.
  3. A dolphin is ……………….. (clever) than a whale.
  4. Moscow is the (large) city in Russia.
  5.  Who is the (good) pupil in your group? 

Give your cards to your neighbours (соседям) and correct the mistakes. Now let`s check.  Now give me the cards.

VIII.  Speaking. Активизация навыков говорения.
I divided you into 3 groups. I will write new verbs, and you should translate them using the dictionary. Work in your group.  Start,  please.

Look at the  picture and say what animals and people do for each other.

1) What do animals do for people?

Example: P1. Camels can carry things for people.

P2. Dogs can help and save people.

P3. Sheep can give clothes and food.

P4. Cows can give milk.

Example: P1. People can make houses for birds.

P2. People feed hens and wash horses.

P3. People can take dogs for a walk.

3)Which animal is the most useful. And why?

Example:

P1. I think camels are the most useful animals because they can carry a lot of things for people.

P2. I think sheep are the most useful animals because they can give wool and food.

IX.  The conclusion of the lesson. Рефлексия

I’ll finish our lesson. I think that you knew some new information about animals.

 What do you like most of all?

What did you learn

Now I can say:

 - where the animals live;

 - what they can do;

 - what animals and people do for each other.

Your home task is to describe the animal you like ex. 7 p. 49
