                                          The Ugly Duckling.

Author: Once upon a time there were seven eggs. Six ducklings were   beautiful. One duckling was not.

Mother Duck and six Ducklings: Six little ducklings

                                                      Dash  Dash  Dash

                                                      Jumped in dusk pond

                                                      Splash splash splash

                                                     When mother called them

                                                     Quack quack quack

                                                     Six little ducklings

                                                     Swam right back.

Mother Duck: You are ugly.Go away.

Author:   The Ugly Duckling met a cow.

The Cow: The cow says Moo Moo

             I have some milk for you.

             You are ugly. Go away.

Author:   The Ugly Duckling met a cat.

The Cat:   I have a little pussy

                And her coat is grey

                She lives in my house

                And she never runs away.

                 You are ugly. Go away.

Author:   The Ugly Duckling met a dog.

The Dog:    My dog is clever, strong and quick

                  It’s name is Spot, my name is Nick.

                  My dog is nice, my dog is grey

                  We play together every day.

                You are ugly. Go away.

Author:   The Ugly Duckling met a boy.

The boy:  What are little boys are made of

                 Frogs and snails

                 And puppy-dogs’ tails

                 That’s what little boys are made of.

                 You are ugly. Go away.

Author:   The Ugly Duckling met a girl.

The girl:    One, two, three, four

                  Mary at the cottage door.

                  Five, six, seven, eight

                  Eating cherries off a plate.

              You are ugly. Go away.

Author:   The Ugly Duckling was all alone. He was very sad. One day the Ugly Duckling saw      some beautiful swans.

The swan:   Two little feet

                   Go tap tap tap

                   Two little wings

                   Go clap clap clap

                   One little leap

                   Up from a chair

                   Two little wings

                   Go up in the air.

    Look in the water . You are beautiful!!Come with us!

The Author:   And he did. And he was happy!!!
