Scene 1

Wendy, Cindy and Lin are talking with each other.

Wendy: Ha! Look at me! (She shows her photo to the girls.) I was a baby in this photo!

Cindy: You were funny! Were you a good baby?

Oscar and Eddy come to them.  Oscar takes the photos from Wendy. He shows other photos to the children.

Oscar: No, she wasn’t! She was naughty! Look at this photo! Wendy was very noisy!

Cindy: I was a good baby. I was quiet and cute!

Eddy: I was funny cute and clever. What were you like Lin?

Lin: I was a happy baby. I was a fat baby, too.

Then they sing a song together (Welcome 2 p.67)

Scene 2

Eddy: Oh, no! It’s Monday today. We have history on Mondays.

Oscar: History. I don’t like history.

Lin: I like History.

Wendy: History is my favorite subject

Cindy: History is interesting.

Oscar: It’s half past eight. It’s time for our History lesson.

Lin: See you later.

Cindy: Have fun!

Eddy: I don’t want to go to school.

Oscar: Let’s pretend to be ill and go to the doctor.

Eddy: It’s a wonderful idea.

Scene 3

Oscar and Eddy are at the hospital and behave as if they are not ill. They start singing and dancing.

They sing “What’s the Matter? (Welcome 2 p. 61. The doctor hear them singing.

        What’s the matter? What’s the matter?

        I feel ill, I feel ill!

        You must see a doctor!

        I feel ill! Get well! I feel ill! Get well soon!

I hope you get well soon!

What’s the matter? What’s the matter?

My throat hurts ,my  throat hurts!

You must see a doctor!

 My throat hurts!  Get well soon!

I hope you get well soon!

Oscar: Eddy, we must be quiet. We mustn’t play in here.

Doctor: Come in children!

Eddy: Good morning Mrs. White.

Doctor: Good morning. What’s the matter?

Oscar: I feel ill.

Eddy: My throat is sore.

Oscar: I’ve got a headache.

Doctor: Let me measure your temperature. Take the thermometer. Let me see your throat. Open your mouth. Say A-A-A. Let me listen to your chest. Your temperature is normal, your throat isn’t sore, your lungs sound well. I know what will help you feel better. I’ll inject you.

Oscar: We fee much better now.

Eddy: We’ll better go to school.

Scene 4

(At school. The teacher is entering the classroom)

Teacher: Good morning children. Sit down. Today I’ll tell you about the history of London. London was founded by the Romans in the 43 before Christ. It was called Londinium. The houses were wooden and they were very close to each other. In the 61 before Christ it was burnt down. Why are you crying Wendy?

Wendy: Because London is burning.

Children sing the song. ( Welcome p.49)

Teacher: Come in.

Oscar: We are sorry. We are late.

Teacher: Take your seats.

Attention! On Saturday we are having a school bazar.

Children: Great!

Wendy: Let’s make a shopping list and go together to the market.

Children sing the song. ( Welcome p.35)

        Let’s go to the market and buy all we need!

Let’s go to the market! Oh, come with me, please!

Let’s buy some nice coconuts, mangoes and some peas,

Potatoes and pineapples, chocolate and cheese!

Scene 5

At the market.

Lin: Here is the shopping list for the school bazaar!

Wendy: Oscar, can you buy three kilos of sweets.

Lin: Cindy, can you buy two kilos of oranges.

Eddy: We need to kilos of apples. I like apples and apple pies.

Seller: What would you like?

Oscar: I’ like three kilos of sweets, please.

Seller: Here you are. That’s 600 rubles.

Oscar: Thank you

Seller: What would you like?

Oscar: I’ like two kilos of oranges, please.

Seller: Here you are. That’s 200 rubles.

Oscar: Thank you

Seller: What would you like?

Oscar: I’ like two kilos of apples, please.

Seller: Here you are. That’s 100 rubles.

Oscar: Thank you

Scene 6

School bazar.

Eddy: Look! There are so many people there.

Lin: Get ready everyone!

Oscar: Do you know how many sweets I have got. Guess. Raise your hands and guess how many sweets I have got. Don’t be afraid and say it in English.

He asks the audience in front of him.

Oscar: You are mistaken. You are right.

Now you are welcome to have some cake, sweets and fruit.
