Цель урока: развитие языковых способностей и устойчивого интереса к изучению иностранного языка, развитие интереса учащихся к культурному наследию Великобритании, расширение кругозора по теме.

Задачи урока: Образовательные:

  1. тренировать у учащихся умение логически строить высказывание,
  2. провести практику работы в парах, группах
  3. активизировать известную учащимся лексику по теме
    Развивающие:
  4. развивать мышление, творческую фантазию, инициативу в осуществлении иноязычной речевой
    деятельности,

-        повышать удельный вес самостоятельной работы в школе и дома,

  1. развивать межпредметную связь (с литературой, историей) и познавательный интерес урока
    Воспитательные:
  2. воспитывать у учащихся чувство прекрасного, любовь к английской литературе   -,
  3. воспитывать уважение к культуре страны изучаемого языка

Оснащение урока: компьютер, проектор, презентация слайдов в Power Point, раздаточный материал (карточки-путеводители урока, задания, тесты), записи на доске, театральный реквизит.

Музыкальное оформление: Микаэл Таривердиев Прелюдия к к/ф «Адам женится на Еве», из английской народной музыки 16 века «Зеленые рукава».

Ход урока:

  1. Good morning, pupils Glad to see you today! How are you? What date is it today?
  1. And do you remember that very soon people all over the world will celebrate the birthday of the greatesi
    poet and play writer? Who is it?

  1. Of course, it's W.Sh - the immortal poet of love and nature (#1)
  2. And today at our lesson I'd like you to review much information about this man. What would you like to
    remember? What facts are you interested in?

-        Well look at the list of facts, read them and choose which are related to the life of Sh.

  1. three children        8. A traveller
  2. six children        9. A glove-maker
  3. The Comedy of Errors        10. An actor
  4. Stratford-upon-Avon        11. Happy family
  5. twin brothers        12. London
  6. novels        13. Oxford
  7. the Globe.        14. Anne

-        That's right. Today at the lesson we'll explain later how these words are connected with Sh. But now let'
read some quotations about him and take them as epigraphs to our lesson (#2)

    injury by the adamant of Sh' Samuel Johnson

OK. These words were said by B.J. a play writer and player and a good friend of Sh. Let's remember what we already know about W.Sh.

Divide in 3 groups and review information about Sh's life, work and places where he had lived. You may use the text we've read before.

  2. Stratford-upon-Avon
  3. word puzzle (2-3 pupils, card "Complete the text about Sh's father" - 2 pupils)

So, what words have you found? Write them on the blackboard, please. Thanks and now listen to each other and be ready to check each other.

  2. His father was a clock-maker.
  3. William lоved reading.
  4. He got his education in London.
  5. William married late and his wife was younger than he himself.
  6. Sh had 3 children
  7. He wrote plays for the theatre.
  8. Lat 3 years of his life he lived in Stratford.
  9. He died in London and was buried in Westminster Abbey.

10.        He wrote 37 plays and 154 sonnets.

So, when people mention Sh's name, they do not usually think about his biography, they think about a great number of his works that are well known all over the world. What kind of literature did he write?

  1. Could you name some of his famous plays?
  2. Look and decide which are comedies and which are tragedies

  3. Romeo and Juliet
  4. All's well that ends well
  5. Othello
  6. Much ado about nothing
  7. Twelfth night
  8. A midsummer Night's Dream
    10. Hamlet

  1. Good of you. In his plays Sh. Writes about love and friendship, hatred and adultery and of course abc
    beautiful English nature.
  2. Let's try to recite an extract from his famous tragedy "Hamlet, the prince of Denmark"
  3. It was great. What is the most famous quotation from this play? And there are a lot of other quotation
    from his plays which are used in our everyday life. Look through the cards and work in pairs to match
    English and Russian sentences

Ok. He also wrote a great number of sonnets. They occupy a unique place in his literary legacy. There 3 main characters in the sonnets: the Poet, his friend and the dark Lady. The poet expresses the warmeadmiration to his friend and love for the Dark lady.

  1. Would you like to recite one of his most beautiful sonnets #130 and its translations made by different
    poets?
  2. All right.
  3. Do you remember who reigned in England in Sh time? Let's read how the theatre looked in the days of Sh.

Read the text and do the tasks to it.
