“The Country and the City”

по учебнику М.З.Биболетовой “Enjoy English” 4 класс

Цель урока: развитие речевых умений на основе применения усвоенного ранее лексико- грамматического материала

Задачи:

образовательная: 

- активизировать лексику по теме «Город. Село.» в серии  речевых   упражнений;    

- научить использовать в речи односложные прилагательные в сравнительной и превосходной степенях сравнения;

- развивать навыки аудирования, чтения, письма;

развивающая:

- развивать логическое мышление, память, внимание, восприятие;

- развивать навыки критического мышления;

воспитательная:

- воспитывать творческий потенциал обучающихся;

- воспитывать интерес к стране изучаемого языка через ознакомление с произведениями детского фольклора на английском языке;

- воспитывать любовь к родному краю.

Учебные пособия: УМК, аудиозапись к уроку, мультимедийная презентация.

1. Организационный момент

Приветствие:

T: Good morning, boys and girls!

Ch: Good morning, good morning,

        Good morning to you!

        Good morning, good morning,

        We are glad to see you!

T: Nice to meet you today!

     How are you today?

P1: I am fine, thank you.

P2: I am OK, thank you!

T: I am glad that we all are OK today.

    Can you tell me what date is it today?

                                  What day of the week is it today?

                                   Who is absent today?

Определение целей и задач урока:

   T: Today we are going to revise the words on the theme  « The Country and the City», play some interesting games. We’ll work at the grammar material and sing a merry song.

Let’s begin our lesson with a short poem.

Ch:    It’s time to say Hello!

           It’s time to say Hello!

           It’s time to say Hello!

            And start our lesson.

T: Let’s start now.

2. Фонетическая зарядка.

T: Let’s do some phonetic exercises.

    Open your textbooks at page 34, find ex. 2.

     Listen and repeat after the speaker.                                                                                                                            (аудиозапись)                                      

Сhildren, look at the blackboard. There are some words and their translations on it. But translations are mixed. Please find the pairs.

T: Read the pairs please.

Let’s listen to the poem “The Country and the City” and then recite it.

T: Who wants to recite the poem?

T: Translate please the last 2 lines.

      Do you agree with them?

      Do you live in the country or in the city?

      Are the houses tall in the country?

       Are there many gardens in the country?

       Would you like to live in the country or in the city?    Why?

         Continue our work.

3. Речевая зарядка.

T: Let’s play a new game. Be active and try to remember as many English words on the theme “The Country and the City”. The game is called “Назови рифму”

4.    Работа над орфографией.

T: You can see some letters on the screen.  Please make up the words from them on the theme «The Country and the City”. Write the words on a slip of paper for some minutes.

Exchange please your slips. Now let’s check your answers.

5. Работа над аудированием.

T: we have revised a lot of words. Now listen to the story about our native village Karataban and try to understand it.

T: we live in Karataban. It is a big and beautiful village. Here we can see green fields, nice gardens with apple-trees. There is a lake in Karataban. In summer we can swim there. The houses are small but nice. There is a school in our village. In the morning the children go to school. In the fields we can see a lot of cows, sheep and horses.

I like Karataban very much.

T: Do you understand the text?

     Have you got any questions?

T:  Look at the screen, read the sentence and write true or false.

7. Работа над грамматическим материалом                                                                    «Степени сравнения односложных прилагательных»

T:  Mr.  Rule приглашает нас к себе.

And now, children, we’ll work at the grammar material “The Comparison of the adjectives” (Степени сравнения прилагательных).

Мы познакомились с образованием сравнительной и превосходной степеней сравнения односложных прилагательных.

T:  Look at the screen.

T:  Let’s do some exercises. Open your textbooks, page 40. Find ex. 19

9. Работа над чтением.

T:  Let’s read the story “The Sun and the Wind” from ex. 17 p. 38-39 in your textbooks.

     Open your textbooks and find the story. Read it to yourself.

     Now let’s act the story out.

(the Sun is ……., the Wind is ……, the Man is …….. .)

Answer the question: Which is stronger?

10.  Работа над письмом.

T:  At the lesson we have revised the words on the theme, read them in the text. And now we’ll try to write them.

We’ll do the crossword in your workbooks. Open your workbooks and find ex. 3 at page 21.

We do the crossword to know where Miss Chatter lives.

You are to work in teams. The team that is the quickest is the winner.

So complete the vocabulary net words for some minutes.

Where does Miss Chatter live? – She lives in the farmhouse.

11. Подведение итогов урока.

T:  At home you’ll read the text “Welcome to Chatterplace!”  in your workbooks ex. 8 p.23.

    It will be your homework.

    Please open your record books and write down your homework.

T:  It’s time to sum up our results. I’ll give you the following marks.
