Dear ghosts, witches, goblins and skeletons. Welcome to our party. Today we are celebrating Halloween!

  1. Выступление начинается чтением стихотворения на английском языке

It’s Halloween

 It’s Halloween! It’s Halloween!

The moon is full and bright.

And we shall see what can’t be seen

On any other night!

 Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls

 Grinning goblins fighting duels

 Werewolves rising from their tombs.

  1. Танец   “This is Halloween”

  1. Ведущий

Halloween is one of the oldest celebrations in the world, dating back over 2000 years.

Do you know how it began, why it is called Halloween, why people dress up like witches and other creatures. Let’s listen to the history of this holiday.

  1. Ученики рассказывают историю возникновения этого праздника.(на экране презентация)

Over 2,000 years ago people called the Celts lived in what is now Ireland, the UK, and parts of Northern France. November 1 was their New Year's Day. They believed that the night before the New Year (October 31) was a time when the living and the dead came together.

More than a thousand years ago the Christian church named November 1 All Saints Day (also called All Hallows.) This was a special holy day to honor the saints and other people who died for their religion. The night before All Hallows was cathe Europeans of that time also believed that the spirits of the dead would visit the earth on Halloween. They worried that evil spirits would cause problems or hurt them. So on that night people wore costumes that looked like ghosts or other evil creatures. They thought if they dressed like that, the spirits would think they were also dead and not harm themlled Hallows Eve. Later the name was changed to Halloween.

  1. Стихотворение The night of Halloween

THE NIGHT OF HALLOWEEN.

The Harvest moon fills the sky
A wicked witch goes flying by

Ghosts and goblins..skeleton's too.
Moaning and groaning, waiting for you

Black cats prowl the graveyard plots
Witches cook in cauldron pots

Cemetery ghouls roam the ground
Not one unopened grave is found

Tombstones are an eerie sight
Shadows dance in full moon light

The haunted house on the hill
Walk in there and you get a chill

Jack-o-lanterns eyes so bright
Trick or Treaters scream in fright

It's a time like you've never seen
Tonight's the night of Halloween.

  1. Стихотворение Whitch

Witch, Witch

Withch witch, where do you fly?
Under the clouds and over the sky.

Witch, witch, what do you eat?
Little black apples from Hurricane Street.

Witch, witch, what do you drink?
Vinegar and good red ink.

Witch, witch, where do you sleep?
Up in the clouds where the pillows are cheap.

  1. Стихотворение

SKELETON PARADE

The skeletons are out tonight,
they march about the street,
With bony bodies, bony heads
and bony hands and feet.

Bony bony bony bones
with nothing in between,
Up and down and all around
they march on Halloween

  1. Танец “Skaletons”

  1. История праздника

The tradition of Halloween was carried to America by the immigrating Europeans. Some of the traditions changed a little, though. For example, on Halloween in Europe some people would carry lanterns made from turnips. In America, pumpkins were more common. So people began putting candles inside them and using them as lanterns. That is why you see Jack 'o lanterns today.

  1. Ведущий

What do you know what about Jack – O’ – Lantern?

The jack-o-lantern, most typical of Halloween symbols, began with the Irish. According to legend a man named Jack was expelled from Hell for playing tricks on the devil. He was to walk the earth forever carrying a lantern to light his way waiting for Judgment Day.

  1. Стихи Pumpkin

Jack O’Lantern

Pumpkin Time

Pumpkin time is here again,
Time to play trick or Treat.
Pumpkin time is here again,
Our Spooky friends we'll meet.

See the costumes we have on,
Monsters, ghosts, goblins too.
See the costumes we have on,
Hear us all shout "BOO!"

Jack-o-Lantern

Jack-o-Lantern, Jack-o-Lantern,
You are such a funny sight.

As you sit there by the window,
Looking out into the night.

You were once a sturdy pumpkin,
growing on a curly vine.

Now you are a Jack-o-lantern,
See your night lights shine.

  1. Песня Pumpkin (поет вес зал)

  1. Ведущий

You have made your Jack O’Lanterns. Come up here and show them. A pumpkin or Jack ‘O lantern is a traditional symbol of Halloween.

Thank you. Show must go on.

  1. История праздника

These days Halloween is not usually considered a religious holiday. It is   a fun day for children. Children dress up in costumes like people did a thousand years ago.  they go from house to house. They knock on doors and say "trick or treat." The owner of each house gives candy or something special to each trick or treater.

  1. Ведущий

Let’s learn a rhyme for trick or treating. Repeat after me

Trick or treat, you're so neat.

Give me something good to eat.

Nuts and candy, fruit and gum.

I'll go away if you give me some.

  1. Now I suggest that you should guess my riddles

She always flies on her magic broom,

She always flies around the moon

With a black hat on her head

And what do you think, who is that?

(a witch)

In masks and gowns we haunt the street

And knock on doors for trick or treat

Tonight we are the king and queen

For all tonight is ………..

(Halloween)

I flight at night because I don’t like light. (Bat)

I’m scary and white. I come out at night. Who am I? (Ghost)

  1. Ведущий

Isn’t it fun to scare somebody at the Halloween Party!

  1. Стихотворение Ghost Bus

 Underneath the lamp post,
In the middle of the night,
A ghost bus make a silent stop,
A strange and fearful sight.

At the bus top at your corner,
Something big and green climbed down.
It's looking for your bedroom,
And it has searched all over town.

You thought it couldn't find you,
That you were safe and you were sound.
You thought that you could hide,
Where you never could be found.

 But now it's almost here,
You know it loves the dark of night.
There's only one thing you can do,
Quick! Turn on the light!

  1. Whew!

  1. Танец    Ghost busters

Well, well, well the time for fun has come. We have a lot here to enjoy. Apples were once thought to be a link between men and the Gods and were often used to tell the future. By putting an apple under your pillow you could dream a wish and eat the apple in the morning. Later people began to use apple in games.

Учащиеся играют в игры.

The party has come to the end.
