Развитие коммуникативно-поисковых навыков в аспекте культурологической компетенции по теме «Christmas is coming».

Цели:

• развить интерес к изучению английского языка.

Задачи:

учебные

• закрепить  информацию о традиции празднования Рождества в Великобритании
• закрепить в речи учащихся необходимые лексические единицы по теме

развивающие

• развить навыки аудирования, устной речи, чтения по теме
• развить память, мышление, языковую догадку
• продолжение выработки основ ассоциативного мышления
• развитие  креативности.  

воспитательные

• создать условия для воспитания уважительного отношения к культуре другой страны через ознакомление с ее традициями,  музыкой,
• сформировать способности участвовать в межкультурном диалоге путем сравнения традиций нашей страны с традициями англоязычных стран,
• научить работать в команде, выполняя задания по теме.

1. Организационный момент

Teacher: Good morning everyone. Sit down, please. I am glad to see all of you today. How are you? Today we have guests. Let’s give them a warm welcome.

Let’s begin our lesson. We’ll have a talk about Christmas, about the most important customs and traditions of this holiday.

What is the weather like today? Is it cold? Is it snowy? Could you tell me, what season it is now?

Do you like winter?

Why do you like winter? What can you do in winter? Do you know any winter holidays?

You are absolutely right. Every year in winter we celebrate Christmas and New Year. It’s a magical time when families and friends get together.

It’s time to watch a film about Christmas. You should try to understand what are customs and traditions of this holiday. I think you will like it.

5. Активизация грамматического материала. Предлоги места.

The most important things for Christmas are presents. And Santa Claus has sent presents for you, but he wants to play a game. You have to look for chocolates and sweets in our classroom.

I’ll give you now the first sheet of  paper. There is a tip, where you can find  gift. So Polina, read the first tip

Your presents are in Christmas stocking between the plants in the right corner of our classroom.

Your presents are in Christmas stocking under the desk. The desk is next to the window.

Your presents are in Christmas stocking behind the chair. The chair is next to the window.

Your presents are under the desk in the middle of the classroom.

Sing  the most popular Christmas song . Your presents are in Christmas stocking under the Christmas tree.

Excellent.  Now you have got presents. Не that would eat the fruit must climb the tree or  Qui quaerit, reperit (from  latin кто ищет, тот найдет) —  Do you agree?

6. Активизация ранее изученной лексики

Let’s play Pictionary. Do you want to play this game?  In this fun game you have to draw pictures and other people have to guess what they are! We have got two teams: The first team will be for example Snowflakes,  and the second team will be Snowballs

Polina gets a word which only she can see. Then she has to draw it so that her team’s players  can guess what it is. When somebody guesses the word the team gets a point. Do you understand? Is it clear?

7. Now write down your home assignment. You have to fill in the table. Compare Christmas celebration in the UK and in Russia.
