OUR SCHOOL TRIP

Yesterday our class, 6A, went on a school trip to Lake Windermere. We met at the school at half past eight. The teachers, Mrs Bagley and Mr Fowler, wanted to leave at quarter to nine, but George Thompson was late, as usual! So we didn’t leave till ten past nine. On the coach George ate four sandwiches and three packets of crisps.

When we arrived at the Visitors’ Centre, we went into the museum and we watched a video about the lake. After that we sat by the lake and had our lunch. George ate three more sandwiches and drank three bottles of lemonade. I didn’t want one of my sandwiches, so George ate that one, too.

After lunch there was a boat trip on the lake. It was a bit windy and the boat rolled from side to side. George started to feel ill. After the boat trip we went to a souvenir shop. George didn’t come to the shop. He stayed outside because he was sick.  What a surprise!

At three o’clock the coach came but the journey home was very slow. We stopped five times, because of George. The teachers were annoyed. The coach didn’t arrive at the school until half past five.
