I. Change the following sentences from the Present Simple Tense to the Present Progressive Tense.

1. Richard walks to school. 2. We live in that house. 3. My father works in the garden. 4. The train stops at the station. 5. The pencils lie on the table. 6. I play with my dog. 7. They help their mother.

II. Put the verbs in brackets into the Present Simple or the Present Progressive Tense.

1. Cuckoos (not build) nests. They (use) the nests of other birds. 2. You can't see Tom now: he (have) a bath. 3. He usually (drink) coffee but today he (drink) tea. 4. What she (do) in the evenings? — She usually (watch) TV. 5. I won't go out now as it (rain) and I (not have) an umbrella. 6. The last train (leave) the station at 11.30. 7 He usually (speak) so quickly that I (not understand) him. 8. Ann (make) a dress for herself at the moment. 9. III. Open the brackets using the Present Simple, the Present Progressive or the Present Perfect Tense.
