Урок английского языка в 8-ом классе

Тема урока: Choosing a Career: The World of Jobs. Активизация лексических навыков.

Ход урока:

Организационный этап.

   Взаимное приветствие.

Teacher: Good morning, dear children!

Pupils: Good morning, dear teacher!

Teacher: How are you?

Pupils: We are fine, thanks. And how are you?

Teacher: I am OK. I am glad you are fine and hope you are in a good mood and ready to work.

     Этап вызова.

      Определение темы урока учащимися по проблемному заданию, ознакомление учащихся с темой и задачами урока

Teacher:   Children, look at the board. Here you can see famous phrase of Confucius.

'Choose a … you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life.' 

One word is missed. Do you have any ideas about the missing word?

Ps:  Job

T: You are right. So today we are going to talk about jobs and careers.

We’ll start our lesson with listening : you should listen to a song, fill in the missing words , after listening you’ll try to sing it. Then we’ll remember some more jobs and definitions. After all you’ll read the dialogue and try to make up and act your own ones. At the end of the lesson don’t forget to put the marks for the lesson to each other. We have a lot of work. Let’s get to work.

     Этап осмысления. 

     Учитель проводит речевую разминку по теме урока.

T: I’d like to ask you some questions.

T: What are in your opinion the most interesting jobs? Why?

Ps: Journalist…

T: What are the most boring?

Ps: Accountant….

T:  Rewarding?

Ps: Doctor, teacher...

T: Anyway, all jobs  are important. And now you should listen to a song and fill in the missing words.

Учащиеся слушают песню, вставляют пропущенные слова, осуществляют взаимопроверку, а затем поют песню.

T: Now let’s remember some more words and definitions on the topic and we’ll do it in the following way. You will work in teams. Take the card with a word and explain its meaning without giving it a name. You will have 1 point for right definition and for the right word.

Ps: A person who grows crops and looks after animals

 Ps: A farmer

T: Well done. Don’t forget to count your points and to write them down. Now I want you to work with the dialogue about a job interview and then try to make up and act your own ones

    Учащиеся работают с диалогом .

T: Children, take the worksheets. These are possible questions at the interview. You  should rewrite the words to make sentences or questions that you might hear in a job interview.

T:  So, first of all, work individually then check your answers in pairs.

      Учащиеся составляют вопросы, затем делают взаимопроверку в парах.

T: Now you are going to work with the dialogue itself. You need to write the

sentences/ questions from Worksheet 1 onto Worksheet 2 to complete the

dialogue.

Учащиеся вставляют фразы в диалог и делают взаимопроверку.

T: Well done. Now you will work in pairs. One is ‘interviewer’ and the other is ‘interviewee’ and you are going to take part in some job interviews.

You must speak to each other using the information on the card I will give you so that each interviewer finds a suitable person for the job and  every interviewee finds a suitable job.

Interviewers remain seated and interviewees move around the classroom, participating in interviews until they find a match.

Children, you  should not  show your card to your classmates and communicate by speaking and listening, using Worksheet 2 to help you if  necessary.

     Этап рефлексии.

     Учитель создает условия для оценочной деятельности учащихся, выставляет оценки и задает домашнее задание.

T: Dear friends! Our lesson is almost over. What did you do during the lesson?

Ps: We remembered the words and expressions.

     We listened to the song.

     We read the dialogue.

     We acted out our own dialogues.

     We spoke English a lot during the lesson.

T:  Which part of the lesson did you like best of all?

Ps:      I liked the dialogues.

          I like…

T: You home task for tomorrow …

     Your marks for the lesson are: …

     Now our lesson is over. Thank you for your work. Good-bye!
