Как вариант провел апробацию технологии сотрудничества при отработке фонетических навыков с помощью стихотворения в 5 классе.

Little girl, little girl,

Where have you been?

I’ve been to see grandmother

Over the green.

What did she give you

Milk in a can.

What did you say for it?

Thank you, Gran!

a) Listen to the poem and be ready to read it.

b) Divide into groups (4 pupils in each)

c) 1st pupil chooses the most difficult words for pronunciation (little, where, over etc.) read them for his group, others repeat these words.

d) 2nd pupil read the whole lines, others repeat after him.

e) 3rd read the poem in whisper, others repeat after him.

f) 4th read the poem aloud others repeat after him.

Pupils can help each other.

Teacher controls all pupils’ work. Then he checks individual reading.

Тема «After Rain Comes Fine weather»

1) Work in pairs. Talk about the weather in your place (yesterday, today and tomorrow). You can use pictures and words from pages 6-9.

2) Write your own weather forecast for tomorrow after discussion. Read it to your classmates. See if their forecasts agree with you.

1) Read the text and do the tasks.

There are thousands of weekly and monthly magazines in Britain. They can be divided into four main groups: specialist magazines, such as the computer magazine PC Weekly; general magazines, such as the magazine Radio Times; women’s magazines and teenage magazines.

Young people below the age of 18 do not usually buy newspapers, but they do buy magazines.

The favourite magazines of 15-year-olds are shown in the table (в таблице). Many more girls than boys buy magazines. Their main interests are boys, clothes and make-up. Teenage girls like to read magazines which are for older age group. Just seventeen is not only the most popular magazine for 15-year-olds, it is also popular with 12-year-olds.

2) Divide into groups of four.

4) Use the table and discuss the questions:

- What is the least favourite magazine of 15-year-olds?

5) Choose another partner and decide True or False with him. Then check the partners of your home group.

a) A lot of different magazines are published in great Britain.

d) Many more boys than girls buy magazines.

6) The whole class discussion.

Many more girls than boys buy magazines. Do you agree with this? What’s your opinion? Explain your point of view. While listening to your classmates be ready to give some more reasons to support or refute the point of view being discussed.
