Task I

Read the following text carefully and choose the correct word for each space. For questions 1 – 7, mark the letter A, B, C or D on your answer sheet. There is an example at the beginning.

Jane Burton wanted a new camera. (0)  As         she lived in the countryside, it wasn’t easy to buy one.
