The flag of the Chuvash Republic has stylized tree of life, a symbol of rebirth, with the three suns, a traditional emblem popular in Chuvash art. Deep red stands for the land, the golden yellow stands for prosperity.

There are many theatres and museums in Cheboksary. In the middle of the city there is a beautiful bay. Cheboksary has also beautiful boardwalks and beaches along the Volga river where people swim in summer.
