Научиться монологическому высказыванию, а также диалогу  о разных периодах жизни человека

Задачи урока

Обучающие:

  1. Повторить лексику, связанную с описанием жизненных периодов.
  2. Формировать навыки ознакомительного, и поискового чтения.
  3. Вспомнить биографию знаменитых людей Российской и мировой культуры.

Развивающие:

  1. Развивать умения систематизировать новые знания и на их основе составлять текст о жизни человека.

Воспитательные:

  1.  Воспитывать уважение к истории, к значимым лицам родной  мировой культуры

Планируемые результаты

Предметные умения

  • Расширить лексический запас слов по теме
  • Составлять вопросы о разных периодах жизни человека
  • Учащиеся получат возможность научиться составлять рассказ о биографии человека

Личностные УУД: 

  • Формирование коммуникативной компетентности в общении и сотрудничестве со сверстниками.

Регулятивные УУД:

  • осуществление самонаблюдения, самоконтроля, самооценки в процессе коммуникативной деятельности на иностранном языке;
  • формирование  умения самостоятельно контролировать своё время и управлять им.
  • Учащиеся  получат возможность научиться самостоятельно ставить новые учебные цели и задачи;  адекватно оценивать свои возможности достижения поставленной цели.

How are you? Do you like the weather today? Well, let’s return to our topic. What have we been talking about for the last 2 weeks? Right about jobs and great minds and about biographies of famous people. So let’s have a brain ring and see what you remember.

You are going to play Brain-ring game and you will work in teams. I’ll give you 1 minute to think of a name for your team.

I will read a question. When you are ready to answer you need to ring the bell. You will be given 1 minute to answer the question.

As we are talking about famous people’s lives now it’s the time to remember famous people of Russian and world culture. You will be given cards with different life stages of 2 famous people. You will need to place these stages correctly in the biography chart.

Famous for…

A Russian Romantic writer, poet and painter, sometimes called "the poet of the Caucasus". He is one of the most outstanding figures of Russian Romanticism.  

He was the first Russian Emperor and one of the greatest Russian governors and reformers. Under his reign Russia became became a modern power in the western European world.

He has been the President of Russia 3 times and is one of the most popular politicians of the present days.

He is a great Russian scientist, who is famous for his periodic table of elements.

Family (parents/ brothers/ sisters)

He was an only child. His father was an army officer, his mother was from an aristocratic family. When he was 3, his mother died and his father left the family. Little Mikhail lived with his grandma.

His father was Tzar Alexey Mikhailovich and his mother Natalia Naryshkina. He had many sisters and brothers. He was the 14th child of his father but is known to be the first in the History.

His mother was a factory worker and his father was a military man. Vladimir had 2 elder brothers, but they died before he was born.

His father was a teacher of fine arts, politics and philosophy.His mother restarted her family’s glass factory.

Early years (education / hobbies)

When he was 14 he joined Moscow University’s boarding school. He started writing poems. Then he continued studying at Moscow University.

He didn’t have a good education and wrote with mistakes. In 1682, at the age of 10, Peter was proclaimed Tzar, but he had to rule together with his brother Ivan under the patronage of his elder sister Sofia. When tzar Ivan died in 1696, Peter remained the monarch.

In 1960 he went to school. When he was 12 he started doing sambo and judo. After school he studied law in Leningrad State University and graduated in 1975. After graduation he joined KGB.

At the age of 13 Mendeleev attended the Gymnasium in Tobolsk. In 1849, he went to Moscow to study in Moscow State university. But The university in Moscow did not accept him and he went to St Petersburg.

Later years (achievements, awards)

In 1832 he left university and joined military cavalry school in St. Petersburg.  Two years later he became an officer.  

Being the Russian Monarch he moved the capital from Moscow to St.Petersburg. He introduced many reforms that helped Russia to become one of the major European powers. Peter invited the best European engineers, shipbuilders, architects to come to Russia. Hundreds of Russians were sent to Europe to get the best education and learn different arts and crafts.

From 1990 to 1996 Vladimir Putin worked in St Petersburg Administration.

In 1999 he became Prime-Minister of the Russian Federation and later in 2000 he became the President. His first term as President was from 2000 to 2004, the second term from 2004 to 2008.

He became a chemist and inventor. He formulated the Periodic Law and created his own periodic table of elements. Using his periodic table, Mendeleev predicted the existence and properties of new chemical elements.

Personal life (get married / have children)

He was in love 2 or more times but never married.

Peter the Great had two wives, with whom he had fourteen children.

Vladimir Putin was married to Lyudmila Putina but they divorced in 2013. They have 2 daughters.

Mendeleev was married twice and had 2 children.

Current status / date of death

He died after a duel at the age of 27. He is one of the greatest Russian poets and writers of the Golden Age.

He died in 1725 at the age of 52 after a serious cold.

The third time he became the President in 2012.

In 1907, Mendeleev died at the age of 72 in Saint Petersburg from influenza.
