The capital is the city of Washington (DC), and the largest by population is the city of New York. The United States borders Canada to the north, Mexico to the south, and Russia to the west. They are washed by the Pacific Ocean from the west, the Atlantic Ocean from the east and the Arctic Ocean from the north. Since 1959, the United States has included 50 states

What does the USA flag mean? 50 five-pointed white stars. 13 stripes symbolize the 13 British colonies that formed an independent state (Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Rhode Island). The blue gooseberry symbolizes the Union. The number of stars in the blue wing corresponds to the number of states (currently there are 50). Red represents endurance and valor; dark blue-diligence, justice, vigilance; white-innocence and purity.

This is the capitol The foundation stone of the Capitol was laid by George Washington on September 18, 1793. The construction of the magnificent Empire style building was carried out by several generations of architects. As early as November 1800, Congress first met in the unfinished Capitol, but in 1814 it was burned by the British, and the restoration work took five years. Yellowstone National Park Yellowstone Park is located on the territory of three states at once-Montana, Wyoming and Idaho and here is the largest super volcano on the continent. The super volcano is so huge that it doesn't even form a cone. During the eruptions that occurred tens of thousands of years ago, its upper part simply fell into the ground. As a result, there was a hole in the ground-a caldera measuring 55 by 75 kilometers. There is a scientific theory that the next eruption of a super volcano will lead to the complete destruction of all life on the planet.
