тренировать в использовании прошедшего неопределенного времени и определенного артикля перед собственными именами существительными

Цели:

развитие речевого умения (монологическое высказывание);

Ход урока:

I Организационный момент. 

-Good Morning, boys and girls! Glad to see you!

(Good Morning, teacher! Glad to see you too!)

Today we are going to talk about two great cities. First we’ll listen to your stories about London and then we’ll make up the story about our city. Let’s start our trip.

II. Речевая разминка

-How many people live in London?

-What river does London stay on?

-Is Whitehall a hall?

-Where does the Queen live?

-What is Union Jack?

-Where is the National Gallery situated?

-Which is the oldest part of London?

-What square is in the centre of London?

-What colour are London’s double decker buses?

III. Проверка домашнего задания.

Ученики рассказывают о достопримечательностях столицы Великобритании. Монологические высказывания сопровождаются показом слайдов. По содержанию учитель задает вопросы остальным учащимся.

IV Практика использования определенного артикля.

Цель: совершенствование грамматических навыков

Задача: тренировать в употреблении определенного артикля.

Учащиеся сравнивают названия достопримечательностей Лондона и Санкт-Петербурга и делают вывод о случаях употребления определенного артикля

V Практика использования прошедшего времени глагола.

 Цель: развитие грамматических навыков чтения;

Задача: тренировать использование прошедшего времени правильных и неправильных глаголов.

To read the story you should open the brackets. When did the boy visit Britain? (-Last summer) What form of the verbs do you need? (-Past Simple) First find irregular verbs and remember the past forms. (pupils’ answers). При необходимости можно записать глаголы на доске.

Учащиеся читают рассказ о поездке в Лондон, меняя форму глагола на необходимую.

Last summer I (1 go) to Britain as a tourist. I (2 travel) by car and (3 stay) there for three days. I (4 have) a wonderful time. I (5 see) a lot of beautiful places. I (6 make) a tour of the British capital. I (7 buy) a lot of souvenirs and (8 take) some pictures of London. I (9 not visit) the museums but I (10 meet) my friends. I (11 speak) English a lot. Sometimes I (12 not can) (13 understand) people. My friends (14 help) and (15 teach) me. I (16 enjoy) my visit to Britain.

VI Составление рассказа с опорой на таблицу.

Цель: развитие речевого умения.

Задача: учить высказываться по теме.

I hope you are interested in travelling. I’d like you to work in pairs and make up a story about a trip to the center of Saint-Petersburg. You don’t need to use all the words.

Учащиеся готовят устное высказывание о путешествии по Санкт-Петербургу в парах. Затем высказываются по теме.

1. When did you go there?

Last summer, week, month, Sunday…

2. What was the weather like?

Rainy, sunny, windy, cold…

3. What places did you visit?

The Winter Palace. The Russian Museum. Palace square, Nevsky prospect…

4. Where were they situated?

In the north of the city, in the centre of…, in Nevsky prospect…

5. How did you get there?

By bus, by underground, by car…

6. What did you see?

Beautiful palaces, wonderful parks. Famous monuments…

7. What did you buy?

Souvenirs, postcards, maps, books…

8. What did you enjoy

Walking the streets, the weather, listening to the stories, travelling around the city

VII Подведение итогов урока:

What sights would you like to see in London?

What places did you see in our city?

I’d like you to prepare a story about your trip around Saint-Petersburg.

VIII. Домашнее задание:

написать рассказ о поездке по Петербургу. Таблица с вопросами раздается для выполнения домашнего задания.

Sightseeing Tour London is the capital of the United Kingdom. About 7 million people live there. London stands on the River Thames. There are 27 bridges over the Thames in London and 8 tunnels under the river.

The Houses of Parliament The Houses of Parliament has got two houses- the House of Commons and the House of Lords. The building is famous for its clock Big Ben. You can listen to the debates there.

From the Houses of Parliament you can walk up Whitehall and turn to Downing Street where the British Prime Minister lives at Number 10

Trafalgar Square Trafalgar square is in the centre of London. The monument to Admiral Nelson is situated in the centre of the square. There are two wonderful fountains in the square. In front of them there is the National Gallery.

St Paul’s Cathedral It is the greatest of British churches. It was built in the 17 th century by Sir Christopher Wren. Whispering Gallery is situated there.

Westminster Abbey It is an old beautiful church. It’s nine hundred years old. English kings and queens are crowned there. A lot of famous people were buried there: Newton, Darwin, Dickens, Kipling.

Buckingham Palace It is the Queen’s home place. Queen Victoria Memorial is in front of it.

The Tower of London William the Conqueror built the White Tower in the 11 th century to live in it. Later the Tower was a fortress, a palace, a prison and the King’s Zoo. The Crown Jewels are kept at the Tower now.

Hyde Park It has got a lake in the middle. Mothers often take the children for walks and feed the birds. On Sundays you can listen to the speakers at Speaker’s Corner.
