Внеклассное мероприятие по английскому языку  "Halloween"

Цели:

•   Учебно-познавательная цель –  

1. Расширение кругозора учащихся через знакомство с праздником Halloween
2. Совершенствование навыков аудирования, развитие умения переводить, совершенствование лексических навыков говорения.

• Развивающая цель – развитие творческих способностей учащихся, развитие способностей к распределению и переключению внимания, к непроизвольному запоминанию при восприятии на слух.

•    Воспитательная цель – формирование потребности и способности к сотрудничеству и взаимопомощи при работе в группе, воспитание уважительного отношения к образу жизни других народов, более глубокого осознания своей культуры.

Задача:

1.    Способствовать укреплению знаний о традициях и обычаях стран изучаемого языка.

Ход мероприятия:

В зале темно. Вдруг появляются  приведения  с фонарями из тыкв, чёрные кошки, ведьмы, вампиры. Под звуки мистической музыки они двигаются к сцене. Парадом « нечистой силы» начинается праздник. Дети выстраиваются на сцене. Выходят ведущие.

It's Halloween! It's Halloween!
The moon is full and bright
And we shall see what can't be seen
On any other night:
Skeletons and ghosts and ghouls,
Grinning goblins fighting duels,
Werewolves rising from their tombs,
Witches on their magic brooms.
In masks and gouns we haunt the street
And knock on doors for trick or treat.
Tonight we are the king and queen,
For oh tonight it's Halloween!

1 narrator: Dear pupils, teachers and guests! Today we’ll celebrate the most  mysterious holiday not only in Britain but also in the world.

2 narrator:  I think everybody guessed it is Hallowe’en. Today you’ ll learn a lot of interesting about it.

Дети, стоящие на сцене начинают рассказ.

1 pupil: On October 31st, we celebrate Halloween, thought to be the one night of the year when ghosts, witches, and fairies are especially active.

Why do we celebrate Halloween?

2 pupil: The easy answer to this question is that no one really knows the origins of Halloween.

What we do know for sure is that Halloween is on the eve of a major Catholic festival, All Saints (1st November) and the eve of the pagan Celtic festival known as Samhain

3 pupil: It is widely thought that Halloween originated as a pagan Celtic festival of the dead related to the Irish and Scottish Samhain, but there is no evidence that it was connected with the dead in pre-Christian times.

4 pupil: Halloween is also know by other names:

All Hallows Eve
Samhain
All Hallowtide
The Feast of the Dead
The Day of the Dead

5 pupil: On Halloween, when it was believed that ghosts came back to the earthly world, people thought that they would encounter ghosts if they left their homes.

6 pupil:  To avoid being recognized by these ghosts, people would wear masks when they left their homes after dark so that the ghosts would mistake them for fellow spirits. On Halloween, people placed bowls of food outside their homes to appease the ghosts and prevent them from attempting to enter their home.

( Дети демонстрируют свои костюмы и уходят )

Появляется ведущиe:

1 narrator: Another tradition on Halloween is Apple Bobbing. The game is played by filling a tub or a large basin with water and putting apples in the water. Because apples are less dense than water, they will float at the surface. Players  try to catch one with their teeth. Use of hands is not allowed, and often are tied behind the back to prevent cheating.

2 narrator: яблочный бобин (apple bobbing, bobbing for apples). Нужно взять большой таз и наполнить его водой, а в воду положить много яблок, чтобы они покрыли всю поверхность. Игроки вылавливают яблоки из тазика зубами, без помощи рук (часто руки связывают за спиной, чтобы игроки не жульничали).

(На сцену выносят тазики с водой и яблоками)

Narrators: Let’ s play.

Ведущие проводят конкурс, зал поддерживает соревнующихся апплодисментами.

1 narrator: Well done! Thank you!

Cлышится весёлый шум, музыка. Выбегают дети в костюмах и поют песенку «Trick or treat »

Trick or treat, trick or treat,
Give us something good to eat.
Give us candy, give us cake,
Give us something sweet to take.
Give us cookies, fruit and gum,
Hurry up and give us some.
You had better do it quick
Or we'll surely play a trick.
Trick or treat, trick or treat,
Give us something good to eat.

2 narrator: Trick or Treat— is another tradition on Halloween when children knock on doors demanding a treat (Trick or Treat) and people disguise themselves as witches or ghosts, in order to obtain food and money from nervous householders.

1 narrator: Let us sing this song together

( Все поют песенку, а ведущие ходят по залу и угощают детей конфетками)

2 narrator: Thank you! You  сan sing very well!

1 narrator: But what is the most known symbol of Halloween? You are absolutely right! It is a pumpkin! It is called  Jack- o- lantern .

( Cвет тухнет, в темноте горят фoнари)

Five little pumpkins
Sitting on a gate
The first one said,
"My it's getting late!"
The second one said,
"There are witches in the air!"
The third one said,
"Good folk, beware!"
The fourth one said,
"We'll run and run!"
The fifth one said,
"Let's have some fun!"
"WOOOOOOOH", went the wind,
And OUT went the light;
And the five little pumpkins
Rolled out of sight!

2 narrator: Fine! You’ ve learnt f lot of  exciting things about Halloween! I want to know what you have learnt.

3. What  are the other names of Halloween?
4. Why do people wear masks and dress in costumes for Halloween?

1 narrator: Well, I see you  have known much about Halloween! Thank you for attention!
