Тема: Экологические проблемы (УМК.  И.Н.Верещагина, О.В.Афанасьева “English V” , изд-во « Просвещение»2012)

Цель урока:  формирование лексических навыков чтения и говорения по теме « Экологические проблемы» для подготовки к сочинению « Экологические проблемы в Санкт-Петербурге»

Задачи урока: 
Образовательные:
1. Развитие и совершенствование рецептивных и экспрессивных лексических навыков по теме «Экологические проблемы»
2. Совершенствование навыков изучающего чтения
3. Совершенствование языковых и речевых грамматических навыков
Развивающие:
1. Развитие языковой догадки
2. Развитие навыков устной речи по теме
Воспитательные:
1. Развитие чувства коллективизма
2. Формирование качеств гражданина-патриота и морально-этических норм

3. Сформировать собственное мнение учащихся по решению данной проблемы

Ход урока:

1. Организационный момент

Учитель приветствует учащихся,проверяет готовность к уроку( учебники, тетради, пеналы).

T : Good morning ,children! Nice to meet you . I hope you are well today. Who is on duty today?   What is the day/date today? What is the latest news?

Дежурный ученик выходит к доске и рассказывает последние новости.

( пример:Today is the seventeenth of December.Today is Monday.My news is:The International Forum In Chelyabinsk has recently decided that special ecological groups will protect new methods of keeping our water and air clean. We know that out nature is in danger.I hope these groups will help our country.

T : Thank you for the information. Now let’s start our lesson.

1. Речевая зарядка

Звучит музыка, учитель показывает презентацию с изображением животного и растительного мира, а также загрязненные пейзажи городов.

Учитель задает вопросы:

1.What does this slide-show make you think about?

Ученики по очереди делают свои предположения.

 ( P 1: In my opinion we shall speak about nature.

  P2: I think we shall speak about ecology.

   P3: I think we shall speak about problems in the city.)

2. What is the topic of our lesson?

3.Do you think the ecology is a very important theme?

4. Do you agree with the idea of the lesson?

1. Сообщение цели урока

Учитель отвечает на реплики учащихся , обобщает их ответы и сообщает тему урока.

T: You are all right . Today we shall speak about ecological problems.The aim of our lesson is to understand the importance of ecology in our lives .At the end of the lesson you will give your ideas and answer the question: How can you help our nature.

Учитель вывешивает на доске лист с названием темы: “Ecology”.

The plan of the lesson will be the following: 1. At first we’ll discuss the problem in whole. 2. Then we’ll write a dictation on the topic.3. After that we’ll listen to the song and discuss it. 4The next point of out lesson will be the text in your text –books:”The Earth Is In Danger’.5Then we’ll watch your presentations about the ecological problems in Saint-Petersburg and share our opinions.6.At the end of the lessons you’ll have to prepare short projects in groups on the topic:”How Can You Help our Nature”.

Учитель вывешивает на доске краткий план работы на уроке.

1. Presentation of the ecological problems in the world .2.Getting new information about the ecological situation in our region( 1.Dictation 2. Reading the text’Earth Is In Danger’ 3.Pupil’s presentation  about the ecological problems in Saint-Petersburg.4.Listening to the song”Don’t Kill Nature”)3.Presenting your ideas on the ways of helping  nature.

• Учитель задает ученикам вопросы:1.Do you like our plan?  Are you ready to start?
• You are divided into three groups.You have to choose the leaders of your groups .
• Speak English!Don’t speak Russian!
• Don’t forget to choose the speaker .
• Be attentive!
•  Be active!

• Don’t forget about the limited time!

1. Вызов ( ассоциации)- развитие монологической речи по теме

Учитель вывешивает на доске высказывание, которое обсуждается с учащимися:

“To Hurt The Earth Is To Hurt Yourself”

T: Discuss  the sentence in the groups of three pupils , write down your ideas and then share your opinion with the group.

Ученики обсуждают высказывание  в течение 1 минуты( время по песочным часам, по окончанию учитель звонит в колокольчик)

Учитель задает перед обсуждением высказывания наводящие вопросы:

1.Is our planet your home?

2. Does your life depend on the air you breathe and the water you drink?

3. Do you get food from nature?

4. Is tнis food healthy?

Ученики отвечают по-отдельности.Учитель выписывает ключевые слова на доске:our home---pollution------people’s health

( примерные ответы учеников:

P1: Cars and buses pollute the air we breathe.People cut down the trees and animals die and people don’t get food.

 I think we must know about some ecological problems and try to protect our nature.

P2: I can say that the Earth is our home . We breathe air,drink water, eat food.We live in the world of nature.

P3: I live in the city. There are a lot of factories in Saint-Petersburg.The smoke from factories pollutes the air we breathe and the water we drink.

T: Thank you for your ideas. Do you agree with each other?

После высказываний учащихся учитель задает вопросы:

1. Do you suffer from ecological problems?
2. Have you ever hurt our nature?Have you ever thrown litter in the forest?Have ever wasted water ?

1. Закрепление изученной лексики по теме(тест)

Учитель повторяет ус учащимися изученные слова и проводит проверку знаний слов в форме теста ( на карточках, где даются синонимичные выражения к изученным словам. Задача учеников : соотнести понятия.

T: Last lesson we worked with dictionaries and found definitions of the words. You wrote them down into your vocabulary.

You’ll need these words during the lesson.We are going to discuss ecological problems,using the words you have prepared for today’s lesson. Let’s check your knowledge. I shall give you the test. You are to match the words with their definitions.All these words are from the topic:”The World Around Us”.

Ученикам дается 1 минута для выполнения задания

После выполнения задания учащиеся обмениваются тестами и проверяют работы друг-друга( взаимопроверка).

1. Учитель задает учащимся вопросы:Who has got 5/4/3?—( excellent/well-done/that’s very bad/Oh!You disappointed me! /You have to work hard next time)
2.  Физкультурная разминка

Разминка проходит на основе песни “Nice and Sunny”.1 ученик выходит к доске и показывает движения песни,все остальные ученики повторяют и поют:

Help the Nature,

Help the Earth,

Help animals,fish and birds.

Don’t cut trees,

Stop hunting, please.

Together we’ll save the Earth!

Save the Nature,

Save the Earth,

Save animals,fish and birds.

Don’t pick flowers

Don’t make noise(fires)

1. Развитие навыков чтения и монологической речи( упр 20 стр114)

T:1. Today we have a text about ecological problems. Let’s read this text

  The task for you is to match the heading with the paragraphs of the text:

a.Changing climate-3

b. Earth day-1

c.The problems of nowadays-5

d.Dirty water -2

e.the Earth’s air-4

После выполнения задания все вместе проверяют правильность выполнения задания.

2.Учитель задает вопросы по содержанию текста:

1. Why can’t people swim in many rivers and seas?( P.:because the water is very dirty)
2. What happens to fish in such water?( P.:fish die)
3. Why is lake Baikal not safe now?( P:in some places the water is so dirty that it kills animals and plants)
4. What makes the Earth’s air so bad?(P.:plants and factories send a lot of smoke,people cut down trees to build farms)
5. What is the main problem now?( P.:to protect life on the Earth and to save our planet).

1. Презентация по теме « Экология Санкт-Петербурга»

Учитель проверяет выполнение домашнего задания. На предыдущем занятии дети, разделившись на 2 группы, представляли 2 презентации по темам : « Состояние воды в Санкт- Петербурге» и « Загрязнение воздуха в Санкт- Петербурге». К данному уроку 2  ученика от каждой группы должны были объединить 2 презентации в одну и рассказать об экологии в Санкт- Петербурге.

T : The previous lessons we listened to the presentations of your groups about the ecological situation in Saint-Petersburg. Today the leaders of your groups had to unite your two presentations and to present us a combined report about the ecological situation  in our city.

Прослушав объединенную презентацию, дети индивидуально составляют свой кластер” Причины экологических проблем в Санкт-Петербурге»(Ecological Problems of Saint-Petersburg). На доске учитель вывешивает синюю сердцевину цветка с вопросом:’What Makes Our City Dirty”,записывает общие идеи детей( factories,cars,buse,cutting down trees,waste,rubbish)

Do you agree with these ideas?-Let’s listen to the song and find out what can be done to save our nature and our health.

1. Развитие навыков аудирования( упр 22 стр143 №39)

Учитель дает прослушать запись 2 раза .Задание по песне – на карточках: поставить строки песни в правильном порядке.После прослушивания дети должны придумать свой девиз по защите окружающей среды.

T:1. We are speaking about ecology.We know that our planet is in danger now. Let’s listen to the song “Don’t kill the world.”.You’ll get the cards.The task for you is to put the sentences into the correct order.2. Now let’s check your ideas.Open your text-books at page 143 and check your answers.3. What is the main sentence of the song? 4. In groups  think over your motto( don’t forget that our topic is “Ecology”) and give your ideas.

На доске учитель вывешивает 2 сердцевины цветка:

Красная и зеленая. Ученики пишут свои девизы на лепестках.( по 2+2 лепестка от каждой группы)

 How can you help our city? What can you personally do to help our nature?  Think over the question .

Лепестки :Don’t kill the world!      Let’s save the Earth!

На составление лепестков дается 1 минута на обсуждение( по песочным часам).В конце составляются 2 цветка.

Учитель подводит итоги и задает вопросы:

What common ideas can you find in these two flowers?

Are you able to support these ideas?

What( or Who) is the main reason of the ecological situation in our city and in the world?

11.Подведение итогов урока

Учитель задает вопросы по пройденному на уроке материалу и составляет кластер на основе ответов учеников( Ватман прикрепляется на доске)

T1. What  was the topic of our lesson today?( P:ecology)

  2. What ecological problems do you know about?( P.:air,water,plants and animals,…)

   3. What can be done to save our nature?( feed animals and birds, join volunteers’ ecological groups,plant trees ,clean parks….)

12. Выставление оценок, объяснение домашнего задания

Учитель выставляет оценки за работу на уроке, выдает каточки с планом сочинения по теме: “ Ecological problems in Saint-Petersburg”
