СЦЕНАРИЙ ВНЕКЛАССНОГО МЕРОПРИЯТИЯ НА АНГЛИЙСКОМ  ЯЗЫКЕ

Цель – совершенствование умений аудирования и говорения.

Задача – поддержание и углубление интереса обучающихся к изучению английского языка.

Образовательная цель – формирование лингвострановедческой компетенции.

Развивающая цель – развитие мышления, воображения, умений межличностного общения.

Воспитательная цель – воспитывать умение общаться с одноклассниками

THE PROGRAMM

  1. INTRODUCTION.

Two teams take part in this quiz. One of them represents Wales, another one represents England. Each team has its own emblem. The captains of the teams have a crown with a flag of their country.

WALES

The flag of Wales is white, green and red.

The symbol of Wales is a narcissus.

Cardiff is the capital of Wales.

ENGLAND

The flag of England is white and red.

The symbol of England is a rose.

London is a capital of England.

Dear boys and girls!

We are glad to see you at our party. We hope you will enjoy our quiz. We are perfectly sure we’ll have nice time together.

  1. THE GREETING OF THE CAPTAINS

Now, the captains of the teams will tell us about the countries they represent.

I am English (I am Welsh).

I am from England. (I am from Wales).

The flag of our country is red and white (green, red and white).

The symbol of England is a red rose (a daffodil).

London (Cardiff) is the capital of England (Wales).

It is a very big and beautiful city.

There are many sights in London. A lot of tourists come to London to see them and have a rest with their children.

Welcome to Wales!

Now, dear jury, the pupils are ready to  recite the poetry. Please, listen to them and mark their answers.

A CHILD’S WISH

I want to live and not to die!

I want to laugh and not to cry!

I want to feel the summer sun!

I want to sing when life is sun!

I want to swim as fishes do!

I want to stretch our friendly hands

  1. A GAME “WHO CAN FIND THE LETTERS QUICKEST”

Now, boys and girls, let’s begin our first game which is called “Who can find the letters quickest?”  You must write on the blackboard the letters which give these sounds. One team will begin from the top, another – from the bottom.

  1. RIDDLES

Now, children, let’s have a little rest. Set a riddle to each other. Try to guess. (Pupils ask each one by one).

  1. You keep it in your schoolbag and it shows how you learn your lessons. (your diary)
  2. We are four brothers living under one roof. Do you know us? (The legs of the table)
  3. I go all night and all day but I never go away. (clock)
  4. This is a house with one window in it, showing films nearly every minute. (TV)
  5. What is it what you have at every meal but never eat? (appetite)
  6. This is the season when days are cool.

When we eat apples and go to school. (autumn)

  1. A little old woman with twelve children: some short, some long, some hot. What is it? (a year)
  2. What is without hands and without feet, without head or body, but can open a door? (the wind)
  3. What man cannot live inside the house? (a snowman)
  4. What falls but never rises? (rain)
  5. Higher than a house

Higher than a tree

Oh! What ever can it be? (a cloud)

It is cold.

You can skate on it

What is it? (ice)

As black as night,

On it with chalk

All pupils write. (a blackboard)

  1. WHAT ANIMALS DO YOU KNOW?

Now children, let’s find out what animals you know. Write all the animals you know on the blackboard. Do it one by one. You have only five minutes for this task. Good luck to you! (After 5 minutes) Your time is over. Let’s count who wrote more.

  1. REBUS

Now, pupils, it’s a new task for you. Look at this picture. What are the names of the things in the picture? Write the names. Then take the first letter of each word and make a new word. What is it? Here is a little key for you: all these words are verbs. Good luck to you!

Now, dear boys and girls, let’s do the next: look at these pictures and listen to me.

  1. Here are 6 words with one missing letter in each. What are these letters? Write them and you will have a new word. What is it?

Children, you know all the letters of English alphabet. It’s the key to the code. Look at these cards. There are the proverbs. You must guess and write them on the blackboard. Who will be the quickest?
