Цели урока: Совершенствование речемыслительных способностей учащихся через развитие всех видов речевой деятельности.

Задачи урока:

1.Совершенствование грамматических навыков чтения и аудирования с целью полного понимания прочитанного/услышанного.

2.Совершенствование грамматических навыков устного монологического и диалогического высказывания.

3.Совершенствование навыков письма.

4.Развитие языковых способностей учащихся к выявлению языковых закономерностей, к сравнению, анализу и систематизации знаний (времён группы Present).

5.Воспитание интереса к познавательной деятельности, дальнейшее совершенствование навыков работы в парах, в группе, формирование культуры совместного семейного отдыха.

Лексический материал: a band, а festival, to stay at, a regatta;

Грамматический материал: Present Simple, Present Progressive, Present Perfect для описания действий, которые происходят в настоящем

Цели урока: Совершенствование речемыслительных способностей учащихся через развитие всех видов речевой деятельности.

Ожидаемый результат:

В результате урока учащиеся должны уметь 

сделать правильный выбор грамматического времени (Present Simple, Present Progressive или Present Perfect Tense) для описания действий, которые происходят в настоящем;

рассказывать о совместном семейном отдыхе лексически и грамматически верно оформляя речь;

вести диалог-расспрос по теме “Мои любимые занятия”,

уметь кратко записывать полученную от собеседника информацию.

Ход урока

1. The beginning of the class:

T: Good morning, boys and girls. I am glad to see you today.

P: We are glad to see you too.

Презентация.

T: Sit down please. Let’s start. Today we shall read and talk about the Events in Northern Ireland. (Slide 1)Look at the map. This is Northern Ireland. It is a part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Do you know any other countries of Great Britain? (Slide 2)

P1: They are England, Scotland and Wales.

T: That’s right. The Atkinsons like visiting Northern Ireland because in summer it has many festivals. These festivals have a lot of interesting events: horse fairs, band festivals, balloon races, fishing festivals, harp playing festivals, dog races and rose shows.

2. Warming up:

T: The Atkinsons know a lot of proverbs about work and play time. And what about you? Can you guess these proverbs? (Slide 4) (2 pupils go to the blackboard)

P1: All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

P2: Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.

T: You did a good job! Now let’s read them all together. Mind your pronunciation! The sounds /o:/, /i://ei/, /h/, /v/, /e/, /u/, /x/, /w/, /t/. (учитель делает подписи звуков над словами на интерактивной доске, учащиеся читают пословицы вслух)

3. Listening for detail:

T: Sally wrote a letter to her friend Pam. Listen to the recording and find out what events Sally and her family takes part in when they visit Northern Ireland in July. (уч-ся слушают запись)

P1: Sally Atkinson and her family usually visit horse fairs, watch balloon races and enjoy various shows in July.

4. Reading:

T: Оpen your books at page 65, read the letter again and find out how Sally talks about the events in the present. (ex. 1 2)

Students’ answers:

We have been here since 10 July.

We have visited Northern Ireland.

We usually visit horse fairs, watch balloon races and enjoy various shows in July.

It is 11 o’clock and I am writing this letter.

Peter, Paul and Celia are watching the rose show and Oliver is playing the drum in a parade.

5. Practicing reading and grammar:

T: now look at the board and revise our grammar (slide 6 Present meaning)

T: Now let’s practice present tenses: open your books at page 67 exercise 2. N, read the task.

P1: The Atkinsons like coming to Northern Ireland. This time they came there 12 days ago. It was Sunday.

1) In summer what do they usually do in Northern Ireland? (Slide 7)

P1: In June Sally Atkinson and her family usually visit the band festival.

P2: The Atkinsons take part in the fishing festival in July.

P3: In July the Atkinsons enjoy the harp playing festival

P4: In August the Atkinsons go to the horse fair.

2) What are they doing in each picture? (Slides 8, 9, 10)

P1: Sally, Peter and Oliver are watching a horse race

P2: Sally and Peter are watching a dog race.

P3: Oliver is visiting a regatta.

3) What have the Atkinsons done since Sunday? How long have they watched the races? (Slide 11)

P1: For 12 days, Sally, Peter and Oliver have watched all the horse races.

P2: They have visited all the races and all the festivals since Sunday.

P3: Oliver has played tennis a lot since Sunday.

T: Paul and his family like spending their time at a summer fair. What is interesting about the fair for them? (Ex. 3 p. 68)

6. Practicing speaking:

1. T: The Wellers have many pictures in their family album. They tell us much about them. (ex. 4 p. 68)

1) Make comments for each picture. Mind your grammar.

P1: I think the Wellers like sport. They are in a swimming pool. Stuart is swimming and William and Daniel are watching him.

P2: They also like fishing. In the second picture William and Stuart are fishing in the lake.

P3: In the third picture Stuart and Daniel are riding bikes. I think in summer they often ride bikes.

2. T: Now show your pictures. I would like you to tell about the life of your family. (ex.4 (2) p.68) (Учащиеся показывают семейные фотографии, рассказывают о том, чем они любят заниматься всей семьёй) (Slide 12, 13, 14, 15, 16)

Sweta: These are the photos of me and my friend. Almost every year my family goes to the seaside. We enjoy beautiful landscapes and different sights. In the first photo we are exploring a canyon. In the second photo we are going sightseeing in Adler. We have gone there this year. We had a great time.

Andrey: On summer holidays our family often goes to different cities and towns. In this picture we are sitting in McDonald’s cafe in Belgorod. We are enjoying tasty meal.

Olga: Our family likes traveling. Last year we went to the south. In this picture I and my friend are exploring caves. In the next picture I and my dad are riding a horse. in this picture I am watching exotic flowers. So we had a lot of fun.

Igor  and Wera: In this photo we are playing chess. I have played chess since I was 10. I have played chess for two years.

Irina: I like reading books. In this photo I am in our school library. I am reading a very interesting book.

3. Dialogues: T: Now I think it would be interesting for you to know more about your classmates activities in their free time. Ask them questions. Fill in the table; be ready to make a report. Mind your grammar. (P1-P2) (Mingle Game – учащиеся свободно передвигаются по классу, расспрашивая одноклассников и заполняя таблицу)

4.1) Учащиеся должны прокомментировать фотографии со следующих точек зрения:

— на фотографии запечатлено действие, которое находится в развитии;

— это их обычное времяпрепровождение;

— они давно занимаются этим (for a long time, for many years, since I/he/she was/we were ...).

      Например: Daniel usually swims in the swimming pool.

                        Daniel is swimming in the swimming pool in the picture.

                        Daniel has swum in the swimming pool for a long time.

      4.2) Учащиеся должны прокомментировать свои фотографии по той же схеме, что и в упражнении 4.1).
