Модуль 8: Rules & Regulations

Урок 8 А  That’s the rule. Таковы правила.

Цели

1.обучающие:

— освоить во всех видах речевой деятельности новые лексические единицы по темам «Правила проживания и условия пребывания», «Виды жилища»;

— научить выдвигать и принимать предложения, отказываться от предложений;

— научить выражать долженствование и отсутствие необходимости (модальные глаголы и их эквиваленты);

2. развивающие:

— развивать навыки во всех видах речевой деятельности;

— развивать общеучебные умения и навыки;

— развивать воображение при моделировании ситуаций общения;

3. воспитательные:

— воспитывать уважение к законам и установленным правилам;

— воспитывать навыки гражданского поведения, экологической культуры.

Оснащение: проектор, аудио и видеозаписи, раздаточный дидактические карточки с заданиями по группам на закрепление лексики и грамматики, презентация с необходимым материалом.

План урока

1. Организационный момент, приветствие.

• Good afternoon, my dear students and my colleges! I’m glad to see you. Sit down, please. How are you today? What is the weather like today? What date (day) is it today?

2. Сообщение цели, темы урока, вводная беседа.    

Задачи: мотивировать учащихся на работу с новой темой, активизировать изученную ранее лексику по теме «Таковы правила!».

• You know the saying   “My Home is My Castle”, translate it, please. Слайд 1
• What words comes to your mind when you hear the word “home”(кластер ассоциаций , Fill in the spidergram включить слово «правила поведения» .What does the word rule mean? (instructions that tell you what you’re allowed or not allowed to do). Слайд 2
•  Thank you. Look at the pictures and try to tell the theme of our  lesson. You are right. The theme is That’s the rule and today we‘ll speak about different houses or types of dwellings in Great Britain, learn how to use the modal verbs   must, mustn’t, can’t   when we speak about house rules.                                                                                                Слайд 3

3. Фонетическая отработка звуков.

Now, look at the board and read english tongue twisters

• A big black bug bit the big black bear, but the big black bear bit the big black bug back!
• Knife and a fork, bottle and a cork, that is the way you spell New York.

• Активизация тематической лексики урока.

Задачи: повторение изученных и введение новых слов и выражений по теме «Виды жилища».

• Look at the screen. These are types of dwellings, repeat after me, and try to translate them. Слайд 6
•  Организация беседы по теме: T  →Ss:

1. Which of these types of dwellings do you like best?

2. Where would you like to live and why?

3. Share your preferences with the classmates.

4. What is the most popular type of dwelling?   

• Now make up three groups, discuss these questions, and tell us. Работа в группах по 4.
• Выполнение заданий на запоминание новой лексики: соотнести определения видов домов (в парах), затем взаимопроверка. Карточки в приложении. Слайд.

• Let’s watch the film “Homes in Britain”. Answer my questions.

-1. Do you live in a house or in a flat?  

-2. Where do most British people live? (Some people live in flats but most live in houses.)

-3.Name the types of British houses. (a bungalow, a cottage, a terraced house, a semi-detached house, a detached house, an old (new, large, small) house.

-4. What are unusual houses in Britain? (They are castles, mansions, caravans, boats).

-5. What is the main home in Britain? (It’s Buckingham Palace)

5. Проверка домашней работы. Работа c текстом.

Задачи: повторение изученных и введение новых слов и выражений по теме «Виды жилища».

На основе рисунков учебника проработать данные названия видов жилища.

•        Open your textbooks, look at the pictures   Упр. 1, с. 76 and answer my question:

-T: Which of these dwellings can you see in our country?

- Ss: In my country you can see mansions, hotels, tents, cottages, halls of residence, houses, blocks of flats.

Задача: развитие умений прогнозирования содержания текста.

Тип текста (a leaflet — буклет) и его адресат.

T: Who is the leaflet for?

Ss: It’s for international summer school students.

Задача: развитие умений поискового и изучающего чтения.

Translate the following words and word combinations.

1. Шуметь – Make noise
2. Содержать животных – Keep pets
3. Получить разрешение на приглашение гостей – Get permission to invite friends
4. Босиком –Barefoot
5. Выносить еду – Remove food from
6. Ездить на велосипеде внимательно – Cycle carefully

7. Регистрировать посетителей – Register one’s guests
8. Время экзаменов – Exam period

a) Now read the leaflet with the speaker (чтение текст в сопровождении   аудиозаписи и проверка своих предположений).     Correct the false sentences.

Ключи:

1 F (Students can’t have parties in their rooms);2 F (Students can’t keep pets in the rooms);

 3 T;4 T; 5 F (Students mustn’t go in the dining room barefoot); 6 T; 7 F (Students mustn’t feed the

squirrels or the birds); 8 F (Guests can’t stay for a period longer than four nights).

     b) T: Can you think of an extra rule for each subheading?

         Ss: You must keep the kitchen and the common room clean. You must be quiet in the dining room. You  must drive slowly in outdoor areas.

7. Актуализация употребления модальных глаголов must, mustn’t, can’t.  Слайд

Задача: развитие навыков распознавания и использования в речи модальных глаголов must, mustn’t, can’t.  для выражения долженствования, запрета, отказа в разрешении.Упр. 4, с. 77

• Before reading the text let’s speak about the modal verbs. Look at the screen. На слайде  правила                  

Объяснить значение rule-obligation, forbidden-prohibition и not allowed.

• Закрепление Упр. 5, с. 77
• Составить предложения с выражениями в рамках домашних правил.(на карточках)

— Например (на слайде): You  mustn’t play loud music late at night —учащихся составляют предложения со всеми остальными выражениями в рамках домашних правил.

Ключи: You must make your bed.; You mustn’t stay out late.; You must eat in the kitchen.; You can’t watch TV after 1.00 am.; You can’t eat out on weekdays.

8. Говорение

Упр. 6, с. 77

Задача: развитие умений диалогической речи в рамках изучаемой темы (диалог-расспрос).на карточках в парах

Понимание предложенной ситуации (и соответственно цели) диалога. прочтение данного образца — обмена репликами. Учащиеся разыгрывают короткие диалоги, связанные с правилами.

Example:

A: Can I decorate the walls?

B: I’m afraid you can’t. You mustn’t put posters on the walls.

A: …have candles in the room?

B: …burn candles in the room.

A: …have a cat?

B: …to keep pets in the room.

A: …have a party tomorrow night?

B: …to have parties in the room.

Предполагаемый ответ:

A: Can I decorate the walls?

B: I’m afraid you can’t. You mustn’t put posters on the walls.

A: Can I have candles in the room?

B: I’m afraid you can’t. You mustn’t burn candles in the room.

A: Can I have a cat?

B: I’m afraid you can’t. You aren’t allowed to keep pets in the room.

A: Can I have a party tomorrow night?

B: I’m afraid you can’t. You’re not allowed to have parties in the room.

9. Домашнее задание:

1.с. 77; WB с. 47., выучить слова, правила.

2.по группам: первая -упр 6 стр 77-правила, принятые для студентов квартирантов в английской семье ,вторая -упр 7 стр 77 My room rules.

  11. Подведение итогов урока, оценки.

 Что понравилось, не понравилось - на доске создать картинку настроения.
