Presenter 3: What’s the weather today! AUTUMN! What an amazing word! Words fail me to describe this wonderful season! Autumn is the most beautiful one! And I’ve just remembered a poem written by А. С. Пушкин

Presenter 1:

Presenter 3: You know, in this school pupils start learning English when they’re in the 2d grade. When they proceed to the 3d, the pupils know many new words in English and they also can sing songs. Please, welcome the pupils of the 3d grade with a song “If you happy and you know it clap your hands”. Dear guests, we’d like to ask you to take a position in the centre of the hall and repeat the moves of our pupils.

Presenter 1: Какая сегодня ясная погода! Осень! Удивительное слово! От него веет нежной грустью, печалью. Осень - самое красивое время года. На ум сразу приходит стихотворение, написанное А. С. Пушкиным.

Presenter 2:  А вы знаете, что в нашей Кубинской сош № 1 ученики начинают учить английский язык со 2 класса? Когда они переходят в третий класс, они уже знают много слов на английском языке и умеют петь песенки. Встречайте, ученики 3 класса с песней «Если ты счастлив, то делай как я». Дорогие гости, мы просим вас стать в центр зала и повторять движения вместе с нашими выступающими!

Presenter 1: But there are 2 kinds of autumn. One of them is nice, good-looking, and rich for harvest. And another one – is transparent, like a beggar in rags as it is in leaves, always so sorrow and with a tiny rain.

Presenter 2: Но есть две осени. Одна – радостная, пышно убранная, богатая урожаем, и другая – невидная собой, в лоскутьях опадающей листвы, грустная, с тихим плачем мелкого дождя.

Presenter 3: The first one love in favor for its generosity, sunny days with tender blue sky and white as snow clouds, for forest beauty painted with golden and red colors.

Presenter 1: Первую, золотую, любят за щедрость, с какой отдаёт она богатство своих полей, садов, за ясные дни, умытые белой пеной дальних облаков и ключевой прохладой лазурно голубого неба; за красу лесов, писанных золотой и багряной краской.

Presenter 2: But the late autumn is always like an experience of something great. It hides in people’s hope that sunlight is immortal and that withering of life is a strict part of changes.

Presenter 3: А поздняя осень – это переживания чего-то торжественного и величавого. Оно кроется в уверенной надежде человека на то, что нескончаем свет солнца, что природа вечно жива, а её увяданье – часть постоянной жизни, необходимый строгий обряд изменения.

Presenter 1: Many poets admired autumn and wrote a lot of poems devoted to it. For A.S. Pushkin autumn was the favorite season.

Presenter 2: Многие поэты воспевали осень в своих стихах, восхищались ею. Для А.С. Пушкина – это любимая пора.

Уж небо осенью дышало,

Presenter 2: А сейчас пришло время немного повеселиться. Давайте поиграем в известную русскую игру «Ручеёк». музыка  Оффенбах «Парижский балет»

Presenter 1: А теперь образуйте круг пожалуйста! Мы поиграем в игру “Веночек осенний”. Вы услышите музыку. У нас есть веночек. Этот венок будет по очереди передаваться от одного человека к другому. Затем музыка остановиться, на ком будет венок, тот выбывает.

A play ‘Queen Autumn is Missing’

Roles: September, October, November, Queen Autumn, Bear, Squirrel, Hare, Fox, Wolf, Lady Rain, King Wind, Boy, Girl Bird

Bird: Hey, everybody! Get together! I have the most shocking and terrible news!

A Bear, a Hare, a Fox, a Squirrel and a wolf come closer.

Bear: What’s wrong?

Wolf: What all the fuss is about?

Hare and Squirrel: Tell us! Now!

Bird: Well, I was flying over the trees as usual, you know. And I landed on the branch of the tree to catch my breath when I heard Lady Rain and King Wind talking to each other…

Fox: And? What did they say?

Bird: They said that Queen Autumn is missing!

Animals (All together): What?

Bird: Yes, that what they’ve said. I mean, can you imagine?

Hare: But right now the season of the year is autumn!

Squirrel: And what about September, October and November? Who is going to guide them?

Wolf: Don’t panic! I know what we should do!

Bear: And what is it exactly?

Wolf: Listen! Our task is to find Queen Autumn before Summer,Spring   and Winter  find out. Otherwise, they’ll start a fight, I’m sure each of them would like to take Queen Autumn’s place.

Hare: I’m agree with him! That’s what we’ll do. We are going to look for the Queen. Are you with me?

Animals (All together): Certainly!

Fox: Where should we start our search?

Bird: I would advise you to go to Lady Rain and King Wind as they were speaking about her missing, they must know something. But do not tell them that I was the one who told you! Good luck! And bye-bye!

Animals (All together): It’s a great idea! Let’s go and find them.

King Wind is sitting on the bench, he holds an umbrella, lady Rain stands beside him. The animals appear.

King Wind: What brought you here? Go away! Or I’ll blow you off!

Lady Rain: And I’ll pour so strong that it’ll be too late for you to escape! Show yourself off here!

Bear: Why are you so mad? We’ve come here for a good reason, you know.

King Wind: What reason is it? Don’t you know we have a bad situation here!

Lady Rain: Queen Autumn is missing!

Wolf: Actually we DO know! And our decision to come here was with a purpose to find her! We really need her! This is HER season.

Lady Rain: Excuse us. We’re just upset. You see, we’ve no idea when and where there must be rain and wind, nobody tells us now. And we’re lost. That’s why I’m crying and it’s raining all the time. And King Wind is so angry that it’s windy.

Hair: But you crying and blowing won’t help to find Queen Autumn!

Squirrel: Tell us please everything you know!

King Wind: We’ve heard that Queen Autumn disappeared yesterday evening. Nobody saw her… But I also remember a boy and a girl talking about a beautiful young lady dressed in gold… Unfortunately I’ve no idea where they saw her…

Fox: Well then, let’s go and find her all together!

King Wind, Lady Rain: All right! We can help!

On their way to the village they meet a boy and a girl.

Hair: Hey, stop, please!

Boy: Hi, what’s up?

Girl: Who are you? What do you want?

Fox: I’m a Fox! And these are my friends: Bear, Squirrel, Hare, Wolf, Lady Rain and King Wind.

Bear: We’re looking for a young lady, dressed in gold. Have you seen her?

Boy: We know where she is, but she said that she doesn’t want to come back…

All together: WHY????

Girl: She said that you didn’t treat her the way she deserves and she is tired…

Fox: And do you know that she is a queen? She is OUR Queen and we really need her! Please, ask her to return. We really need her!

Boy: I’ll go and see her. Don’t go anywhere!

He appears with Queen Autumn.

Queen Autumn: There is no use of you coming here! I’m not going to change my mind! I’m staying with these nice children.

All together animals sing a song:

We’re so so so sorry!

We really want you back!

Come with us Queen Autumn

And we’ll treat you with respect!

Queen Autumn: Oh, you’re so nice! All right, I’ll. I missed you so much, my friends!

Animals clap their hands and leave the stage.

3 seasons  appear, they’re arguing.

Summer : I’m the warmest season! I’m the one who should be a Queen!

Winter: You’ve had your time I’m the most wise! So the crown is mine!

Spring: Girls! Stop it! I’m serious! Nobody must have the crown as it belongs to our Queen!

Queen Autumn and animals appear.

Queen Autumn: Thank you, Spring ! My word is the following. Everyone will rule in her turn. And now, meet my true assistants September, October and November! Each of them would like to be introduced.

September: Autumn is the season

When apples are sweet.

It is the season

When school-friends meet;

When, noisy and gay,

And browned by the sun,

With their books and bags,

To school they run.

October: "Come little leaves," said the wind one day,

"Come over the meadows with me and play,

Put on your dresses of red and gold,

For summer is gone and the days are cold."

November: Dancing and whirling the little leaves went;

Winter called them, and they were content,

Soon, fast asleep in their earthy beds,

The snow laid a coverlet over their heads.

Queen Autumn:  Thank you dear friends. And now let’s sing a song and never quarrel again.

С одной стороны за ленту берутся девушки, с другой юноши. Таким образом, мы образовали с вами пары. Сейчас вы услышите музыку и будете танцевать.

Presenter 1: So, we have a ball here we want you to dance. You have couples already and now the music will sound, so it’s waltz. Dance please.

Presenter 2: This is ALMOST all what we’ve prepared for you. Our pupils would like to sing a song. And we would like to ask you to dance and enjoy it!
