Both, either, neither, too

Both these dishes are very different from British food, partly because neither Indian nor Chinese dish contains meat or potatoes.

Both, either, neither могут быть дополнением (I like both dishes) или подлежащим ( Both dishes are tasty). Both обозначает «один и другой»: Both these dishes are very different from British food. Either (часто + or) обозначает «один или другой»: I’m happy w ith either Chinese or Indian food . Neither (часто + or) обозначает « ни один, ни другой»: Neithe r Indian nor Chinese food is expensive.

Мы используем either после глаголов в отрицательной форме, чтобы согласиться с кем-то или добавить информацию. ‘My mum doesn’t like that programme.’ ‘My mum doesn’t either .’ Тоже самое мы можем сказать, используя neither , но после глаголов в положительной форме, и глагол ставится перед подлежащим. ‘I don’t like this cold weather.’ ‘ Neither do I.’
