Тема урока "Времена года"

Класс: 3

Цель урока: Систематизировать знания учащихся по теме "Времена года" на английском языке, используя групповую работу над проектом.

Задачи урока:

1. Образовательные: обобщение, закрепление знаний учащихся.

2. Воспитательные: воспитание доброго отношения к природе, окружающим людям; умения выслушать другого, умения сотрудничать; формирование качеств человека XXI века (самостоятельность, активность, умение объективно оценивать свои достижения и успехи одноклассников).

3. Развивающие: развитие мышления, памяти, воображения учащихся, совершенствование произносительных навыков; развитие навыков монологической и диалогической речи; использование лексико-грамматических структур при создании проекта (конструкции с глаголом can, безличные предложения, названия времен года, месяцев, погода).

Оборудование: презентацияMicrosoftOfficePowerPoint, таблички на столы "spring", "summer", "autumn", "winter", раздаточный материал в конвертах (картинки по временам года), 4 ватмана, карточки с названиями месяцев, картинки по теме, план работы (1 инструкция на команду), листы самооценки (по количеству учащихся), воздушные шары.

Ход урока:

1.Мотивационно-вступительный этап:

T: Oh, children! Excuse me for my being late. It was pouring. I am wet. My raincoat and my umbrella are wet too. However, oh, what a wonder! Look at the window. There is no rain outside. The sun is shining. It is warm and clear. I think it is time to start our lesson. Look around. We havemany guests. I hope you are glad to welcome them to our today's lesson.

2. Целеполагание:

T: I know that you are great music lovers. My friend Peter has sent a video clip. Now you will listen to it. Then try to understand what we are going to speak about?

Дети смотрят видеоролик.

P1: I think we are going to speak about seasons.

P2: I think we are going to speak about weather.

P3: And about months

T: Yes, you all are right. The topic of our lesson will be "Seasons" And what about the types of activities? What shall we do?

P-s: We are going to… (Дети выбирают виды деятельности)

T: How clever of you! Now we must choose the motto of our lesson. I offer to take such English proverb as April weather-rain or sunshine together.

How do you understand it?

-У природы нет плохой погоды

- Апрельская погода-дождь и солнце вместе

Т:Welldone! Если мы с вами возьмем русский вариант, близкий по содержанию, то он звучит "Куй железо пока горячо". А как вы понимаете эту русскую пословицу?

Т: OK. We shall do everything quickly and in time.

3. Аудирование

T: And now I want to invite some more important guests. You will listen to them and try to guess who they are. (Выходят 4 времени года и читают стихотворения)

Р1: I amtheseason

When fruit is sweet

I am the season

When school-friends meet.

Р2: I am the season

When children ski

And Father Frost

Brings the New Year Tree.

Р3: I am the season                        

When vegetables grow,                  

And people come to the garden                  

To make water flow.      

Р4: I am the season

And children have plenty            

Of fun and sport.                          

Boating, swimming                        

All the day,                              

With a merry song

Т: Howcleverofyou. Now form groups according to the colors. I suggest Seasons to join to our groups and represent them during the lesson.

Whatever the weather

       Whether we like it or not.

T: Thanks a lot. As you know when we speak about seasons, we remember about weather and other natural phenomena. There are four pictures of different seasons. Look around. You can see many words everywhere. Your task is to match the pictures and the words, which are connected with these seasons. (Учащиеся соединяют слова с картинками).

5. Актуализация знаний обучающихся

T:  Youarethebest. Not long ago we read the text about the English year. What was special about it?  You know that the weather in Britain is changeable. The same happened with the months. Do you remember Peter who has sent the video clip from Britain? Peter, come here. We want to interview you.

Peter: Hi! I am Peter Brown. I am from London. Glad to see you. I am ready to answer all your questions.

P1: When does winter begin in Britain? (It begins in November).

P2: What is the weather like in Britain in winter? (It is usually cold but sometimes it rains).

P3: What are traditional winter holidays? (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, the New Year and St. Valentine's Day are traditional winter holidays).

P4: Who is the First Foot? (He is the first visitor who comes to the house on the 1-st of January.  He must be a boy or a man with black hair).

P5: What is a shamrock? (It is a plant with three leaves. It is the national symbol of Ireland).

P6: What do people usually give on St. Valentine’s Day? (They give small cards in the form of heart)

P7:  What do people usually eat when they celebrate Thanksgiving Day? (People usually eat roast turkey and pumpkin pie).

T: Oh, Peter! Thank you. We are happy that you are together with us today. It is high time to relax

T: Oh, listen to! Somebody is knocking to the door. Come in, please. Who are you?

Fairy: Hi! I'm a Month Fairy. I am here to learn how the pupils know English year. Now be ready to listen to my riddles and try to guess them. I have many balloons with the answers on my statements.

-This month has 31 days.

- It comes after June (July)

-It is the first month at the year (January)

-School starts in this month for most of the children. (September)

- St Valentine's Day is on the fourteenth of… (February)

-Christmas is celebrated in this month (December)

-It is the first month of winter in Britain (November)

-This month comes after March (April)        

- They are summer months in Britain (May, June, July and August).

8. Письмо. Работа с планшетами.

Thanks a lot my dear Fairy for your presents. Oh, I have forgotten. Our British friend Peter left us a letter. However, he was not very attentive and missed some words in his letter. Therefore, it is difficult to understand what he wanted to inform us about. Let us help him. You have pads on your desks with the text of his letter. Read it and add some necessary information.

T: Now let’s check your letters with my variant. Look at the screen and compare your answers with mine.

9. Групповая работа

T. Now, children, it is time to work in groups with the projects. Your task is to make the project “What is the best season” and describe it. You have already formed your home groups: “spring”, “summer”, “autumn”, “winter”. Every group has an envelope on the desk. There you can find all information for your projects. You will have a plan. However, be attentive becausethere aremany odd details.
План составления высказывания находится также в каждой папке.Перед учащимися поставлен основополагающий вопрос: What is the best season? И каждая из четырех групп пытается найти ответ на свой вопрос: Is spring (summer, autumn, winter) the best season? Учащиеся оформляют свою работу на ватмане. Готовят защиту проекта, пользуясь опорой:

Защита проекта. Каждая группа представляет свою работу и рассказ. Готовые плакаты вывешиваются на доске.

1. It is autumn. The weather is cool and nice. It isn’t cloudy. I have not got my umbrella.

2. It is summer. The weather is sunny. The sun is bright. The trees are green. It is hot.

Team 1.It’s winter. It’s cold in winter. It often snows in winter. Sometimes it is very frosty. We can play snowballs and make snowmen. In winter we put on our warm coats and hats.

Team 2. It’s spring. In March and April it often rains. Sometimes the sun shines, too. In May, there are flowers in the gardens and parks. There is a rainbow in the sky. There are seven colors in the rainbow.

8. Рефлексия.

T:  As you know it is spring now. It is the season when nature wakes up. Green colour is the symbol of this season. A lot of flowers bloom. Green grass appears on the ground. And green leaves grow in the trees. Birds come back from warm countries.  Look at this tree. It is also full of green leaves. And it will have more green leaves if you like our today’s lesson. I suggest you to put green leaves on the tree if it was interesting
