Внеклассное мероприятие  для 5 класса

1.Тема: «Intellectual Marathon»

2.Цели:

Практические:

- развитие неподготовленной речи учащихся;

- овладение учащимися речевой деятельностью для осуществления общения на иностранном языке;

- обобщить страноведческие знания учащихся, полученные на уроках английского языка.

Общеобразовательные:

- расширение общего кругозора;

- закрепление знаний учащихся по изученным темам.

Развивающие:

- развитие умений работать в команде и принимать совместные решения;

- развитие ответственности и чувства взаимопомощи.

Воспитательные:

- воспитание уважения к культуре своей страны и стран изучаемого языка;

- воспитание умения слушать и слышать учителя и учащихся.

3. Средства: доска, карта, наглядный материал.

4. Ход мероприятия:

1этап. Организационный момент.

Приветствие: Good afternoon, children! I’m very glad to see you here. Now we shall organize a competition called «Intellectual marathon». Two teams will take part in this game of the most quick-witted and cleverest. It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the first team?

P1 I’m the captain of the first team. The name of our team is «Clever wolves».

P2 I’m the captain of the second team. The name of our team is «Strong lions».

(Состав команд и их название выбираются заранее)

 T Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the game. And I decide to invite a jury to count the points. The members of our jury are well-known to you. They are your teachers.

Now I’m going to tell you the rules of our game. The game has 7 points:

1. The ABC game
2. A magic 5
3. Parts and wholes
4. Proverbs and sayings
5. A tongue twister
6. The right choice
7. Inventions and discoveries

Well, I wish you success. Be active, honest and helpful. Remember 5 steps to success:

2 этап.

T Now we come to the 1 point of our game called «The ABC game». You will get some English letters. You should put them in the right order to get the name of the English-speaking country. You have 1 min at your disposal. Each team will get 5 points for the right answer. (Раздаются карточки с набором букв: England, America)

2 конкурс

Now we come to the 2 exercise which is called «A magic 5». On the board you can see the table with numbers. Each team will take turns in answering questions. You can get 5 points for the right answer.

1. Say or sing English alphabet
2. Name 5 colors
3. Name 5 vegetables
4. Name 5 school subjects
5. You are lucky! You win a prize!
6. Name 5 sports
7. Name 5 fruits
8. Name 5 professions
9. Name 5 clothes
10. Name 5 English names
11.  Name 5 English-speaking countries
12.  Name 5 wild animals

3 конкурс

The third exercise is called «Parts and wholes». I need 1 pupil from each team. You should combine these parts to get a popular name. You get 1 point for each right answer.

4 конкурс

T Our next contest is called «Proverbs and sayings». Each team will get a list of words. You should rearrange the words to make a proverb. You have 2 min at your disposal and can get 3 points for this assignment.

(Обе команды получают одинаковый набор карточек со словами, из которых должны получиться 3 пословицы)

T The following task is called «A Tongue twister». I need one pupil from each team. You should read the tongue twister as quickly as you can 3 times. You can get 3 points.

1. Put your head on your bed.

2. Run round the play ground.

T The sixth contest is called «The right choice». Now I’m going to read some tests about GB. You will get the cards with letters a, b, c. When you hear the right answer, you will put up the card with letter. Each team gets 1 point for the right answer.
