Урок- викторина по теме «Посещение Великобритания»

Цель: закрепление имеющихся знаний в области английского языка посредством игровой ситуации.

Задачи:

Образовательная

- повысить познавательный интерес учащихся к языку через использование игровых моментов;

- закрепить умение употребления в речи разговорной речи;

- обучение навыкам восприятия на слух иностранных слов.

Развивающая

- развивать внимание и память учащихся;

- развивать умение работать в группе.

Воспитательная

- умение работать в сотрудничестве с другими;

- воспитывать уважительное отношение к другой культуре.

Учебные пособия:

Карточки с заданиями, презентация к уроку, мультимедийный проектор, флажки Британии.

Предлагаемый урок составлен для обобщения изученного материала по теме: «Visiting Britain» (2 unit) в 6 классе по учебнику «Rainbow English» (Афанасьева О.В., Михеева И.В.) Урок - викторина позволяет систематизировать полученные знания, активизировать их в речи, а также создать непринужденную атмосферу общения на английском языке. В работе принимают участие 2 команды.

        Ход урока

1. Организационный момент.

Приветствие.

We’ll organize a competition today. Two teams will take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest. It’s time to introduce yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1st team?

(Представление команд)

• Who is the captain of the 2nd team?
• I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is … .

1  “The crossword puzzle”

Teacher: So, the first task is to guess the name of our lesson. You should do the crossword puzzles and you’ll get the word for every team. These words will be the name of our lesson.  (The right word is 1 point)

2 ) The second task  is “The best reader”

So, the name of our lesson is “Visiting Britain”.  And now let’s read these words. (За каждое правильно прочитанное слово каждая команда получает балл). (Cлова написаны на карточке, каждый представитель команды должен прочитать по одному слову).

3  The third task  is  “Do you remember?”  .

The following task is to answer the questions about Britain. (Вопросы задаются по очереди каждой команде) Учащиеся получают балл за каждый правильный ответ.

T: Now I’d like to see what you know about Britain.

1 What is the full name of Great Britain?   ( the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.)

2 Where is it situated?   (It’s situated in the northwest of Europe)

3 Is the territory of Great Britain large or small?  (It’s small)

4 How many parts are there in the UK?         (four parts )

5What are the parts of the UK?    ( England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland)  

6What is the capital of the UK? (London)

7What is the capital of England?(London)

8In what city does the British government work?(It works  in London)

9 What is the longest river in London?  (The Thames)

10 Who is the head of the United Kingdom? (the Queen)

4 ) The task is called “The leaders’ task”.  

T: You should write the names of the countries on this map.  (Капитанам команд нужно подписать названия стран на карте Соединённого Королевства)

 b) “The Quiz . And the other pupils should do the quiz.  The task is to complete the sentences with the right answers. (Остальные учащиеся выполняют викторину, за каждый правильный ответ они получают один балл.)

(Answers: 1: England is the largest part of the kingdom.  2 The City is the oldest part of  London. 3 London is situated in the southeast of London.

6 T: And the last task t is “Places of Interests”. You should match the pictures with their names.
