Цель мероприятия: Развитие коммуникативных компетенций, достижение успешного общения на изучаемом иностранном языке с использованием пройденного лексико-грамматического материала

Задачи: Развитие способности выражать свои мысли на иностранном языке;

Развитие командного духа;

Развитие навыков монологической речи;

Закрепление пройденного материала.

Оборудование: интерактивная доска, ноутбук, магнитная доска, карточки с заданиями, газеты про Лондон.

На доске выводятся слова песни из мультфильма «Magic English»

Учитель: Good afternoon dear boys and girls. We are glad to see you! Today we will have a very interesting lesson between the teams from two classes.

Учитель: First task is to represent your teams and say your credo. And your homework  also was  to make emblems for each participant.

Captains of each team says their team`s name and credo.

Stages:

1. The first task is to solve the puzzles in English.

Children write the answers on the paper .

They should get the following words:

Banana

Cat

Teacher

Address

Cartoon

Summer

Tennis

Prepare

Hall

Plate

Team which finishes first and has more correct words wins in the first task. They get one score for each correct word.

2. Second task is linked with the sights of London. Pupils must guess what  place of interest of London is the presentation about.

Say where in London you can
1) take a picture of black ravens 
2) see the monarch in his/her office 
3) Listen to spikers
4) walk on the grass and enjoy the beauty of tress and flowers 
5) see an ancient castle 
6) see the Prime Minister in his/her office 
7) look at a good collection of paintings 
8) look at the statue of Admiral Nelson 
9) ride on a doble-decker bus 
10) go to some good shops

3. The third competition is between the captains of the teams. They   must tell about London and show newspapers about London.

London is the capital of Gret Britain. It is one of the most beautiful and oldest cities of the world . It is an attractive place for a lot of tourists.

London is the capital of Great Britain, its political, economic and cultural centre. It's one of the largest cities in the world. Its population is more than million people. London is situated on the river Thames. The city is very old and beautiful. It was founded more than two thousand years ago. Traditionally London is divided into several parts: the City, the West End, the East End and Westminster. The City is the oldest part of London, its financial and business centre. The heart of the City is the Stock Exchange. Westminster is the most important part of the capital. It's the administrative centre. The Houses of Parliament, the seat of the British Government, are there. It's a very beautiful building with two towers and a very big clock called Big Ben. Big Ben is really the bell which strikes every quarter of an hour. Opposite the Houses of Parliament is Westminster Abbey. It's a very beautiful church built over 900 years ago.

4. The last competition is to fill in the crossword.
