Урок английского языка в 10 классе “Discover Canada!”

Цель урока: формировать и развивать коммуникативную и социокультурную компетенцию по теме “English-speaking countries: Canada”

Задачи урока:

1. Расширять знания о мире англо-говорящих стран (Канада);

2. Развивать ассоциативное, креативное и критическое мышление;

3. развивать навыки работы с ИКТ;

4. развивать творческие способности обучающихся;

5. воспитывать у обучающихся толерантное отношение к стране изучаемого языка, прививать ценностное отношение к природе и национальным паркам;

6. развивать навыки коммуникативной компетенции в монологической речи, аудировании и чтении;

7. учить самостоятельно находить информацию по заданной теме, готовить выступление с проектом.

Ход урока:

I. Орг. момент.

T: - Hello, boys and girls! I hope you are fine and all are ready to work hard at our lesson.  Take your seats please!

     - Hello, dear guests! Welcome to our school! We are very glad to see you!

        Let’s begin our lesson!

II. Сообщение темы урока. Мотивация, настрой учащихся на работу.

T: - And the topic of our lesson is … No, first I want you to read words of one wise man as a motto of our lesson. Look at the screen, please!

T: - At last lesson we spoke about Canada. Your task was to prepare different projects about this country. Today boys and girls will make presentations of two projects. The others we’ll check on the next lesson. And we’ll learn some more information about this beautiful country.

 By the way, what famous Canadians do you know? Of course, you know the members of the Toronto Maple Leafs, famous Canadian hockey club. One of  the world-famous Canadians is Celine Dion. Are you tired? Let’s have a rest! Let’s listen to the national anthem of Canada in the performance of Celine Dion.

And what is the name of  the Canadian national anthem? It is the song “O Canada”. Stand up! We must respect the national anthem of the state. Let’s listen to it!
