Тема: “People We Can Follow”
Тип занятия: комбинированный
Цель занятия: активизация употребления лексики при обсуждении темы “People We Can Follow”; актуализация страноведческого материала; знакомство с биографиями знаменитых людей.
Образовательная цель: расширение общекультурного кругозора учащихся средствами изучаемого языка;
Воспитательная цель: воспитание толерантного отношения к иноязычной культуре и ее представителям;
Развивающая цель: развитие памяти, внимания, языковой догадки, быстроты реакции.
Задачи:
- Организовать употребление изученных лексических единиц в речи учащихся;
- Воспитывать у учащихся уважение к известным людям всего мира и их вкладу в развитие цивилизации.
Оснащение: 1) компьютер;
2) проектор;
3) раздаточный материал.
Ход занятия:
Этапы урока:
- Вводный этап (5 мин)
- Организационный момент, приветствие группы, объявление темы и целей урока;
- Основной этап (30 мин)
- Фонетическая зарядка;
- Проверка домашнего задания;
- Знакомство с фактами из жизни знаменитых людей;
- Выполнение упражнений для закрепления изученного материала;
- Заключительный этап (5 мин)
- Подведение итогов;
- Запись и объяснение домашнего задания;
- Выставление оценок;
- Рефлексия.

2. | Основной этап. Фонетическая зарядка. Проверка домашнего задания. Развитее умений чтения, языковой догадки.
Развитие умений аудирования, монологической речи. | First of all let’s brush up our phonetics. We have already learnt some words on our topic. Let’s review them. Look at the slides, here you can see the words in Russian and you should give their English equivalents. Thanks, you have a good memory. All of you know that there was the Cosmonautics Day yesterday. At home you read the text about Y. Gagarin and one of you had prepared a report about his life. We are ready to listen to your report. You are welcome. Thank you. And now let’s watch the short video about the first man in space. Who else can be an example to follow for us and why? You are right. Let’s read about some people who changed our world. And then you should find some phrases in the texts. At a previous lesson we learnt some information about many famous people. Your task is to match the name and the fact about the person. You have 2 min to do it. Are you ready? Let’s check. Do you think that only famous people can be our heroes? Now we will listen to the letter of the British boy Ray and he will tell us about his example to follow. You should listen to him and then answer some questions. And the last task for today. We’ll make a mind map “What is a hero?” . Think over what kind of person can be a hero. Exercise1. Read the texts, translate them and find some English equivalents of the following phrases: Нобелевская премия, известные во всем мире книги, короткие истории, один из знаменитых адмиралов, черный паук, вратарь.
Ivan Petrovich Pavlov was a Russian scientist. Pavlov won the Nobel Prize in 1904, becoming the first Russian Nobel laureate. He made lots of experiments and discoveries (открытий) that changed our world.
Charles Dickens was an English writer and social critic. He created (создал) some of the world's best-known books. His novels and short stories are still enjoyed all over the world.
Pavel Stepanovich Nakhimov was one of the most famous admirals in Russian history, best remembered as the commander of naval (морских) and land forces (наземных сил) during the Siege of Sevastopol (осада Севастополя) during the Crimean War (Крымская война).
Lev Ivanovich Yashin nicknamed (по прозвищу) the "Black Spider" or the "Black Panther", was a Soviet-Russian football goalkeeper, considered by many to be (который считался) the greatest goalkeeper in the history of the game.
